Take Brie to the Movies (1 Viewer)

Musical: Chicago (the movie)

Lots of others but so far they've all been listed.

Threadjack:
A few years ago I mentioned a scene from Murphy Brown to a young woman on my staff. No response. She'd never seen the tv show much less that particular scene. Kids today! (Never thought I'd say that, lol!)

I knew I liked you.

No one recommending Dead Poet's Society?

I also really like Dangerous Liaisons.... Uma Thurman, John Malkovich and that guy from Bill &Ted.

Did anyone mention Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure?!

EDIT: And A Fish Called Wanda. And Bull Durham. Major League, if you must (but not any of the Major League sequels)... Planes, Trains and Automobiles. And hello? Ferris Buehler's Day Off. And if you want a weird one, Jacob's Ladder. Grumpy Old Men and A Few Good Men. The Untouchables.

So many good movies.

and i can not agree more on The Jerk...."When I was a kid, my mom told me THAT was my special purpose…"

Western: The Outlaw Josie Wales
Drama: The Godfather
Comedy: The Godfather Part III

Of course that’s a joke.

Comedy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Groundhog Day
Monty python is funny shit lol been a long time since I've seen that one
A group of high school kids saving America from invading Russian and Cuban armies using guerilla tactics ring a bell?
Not particularly lol
Wait what? You're only 25?

What in the actual hell would attract a young, millennial woman to a dorky-ass-middle-age-white-dude-who-can't-afford-to-collect-classic-cars* hobby such as chipping?

To actually contribute to this thread:

Horror: Pet Sematary (the original) Haven't seen it in ages - not sure if it still holds up.
Drama: Die Hard - Absolutely holds up (Honorable Mention: Tombstone)
Comedy: Gremlins - Just watched this the other day - the Deagle scene still slays me :)

*I know there are 'non-middle-aged-white-dudes' on here - but I've seen the pictures from the meetups and the stereotype is apt. I am not wrong about this.
I like the chipes! Haha it started as a hobby Ben and I could do together and then I got the sickness... now we play poker almost every weekend, and I always wanted to play poker lol
Also, we just recently watched tombstone it was a pretty good movie!

Anything as long as it’s on LaserDisc. VHS cassette tapes have degraded too much.

Ok Here is My list of Movies from the 80s that I grew up as a Kid. There are so many 80s movies to list. This is just a small sampling of some Great 80s movies I love.

1980s Teen Movies are a Must (If you were a Teenager in 80s John Hughes Movies are a Must. He also did Home Alone which is in the 90s.)
Sixteen Candles
Weird Science
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Some Kind of Wonderful

1980s Comedies
Trading Places
Ghost Busters
Back to the Future
Vacation
Coming to America
The Goonies

1980s Dramas/Other
Top Gun #1 Must see for sure
Karate Kid
Footloose
The Outsiders
Scarface
Dead Poets Society
Any of the First Three Star Wars (The First one came out in 77, but the other two were 80s).

Not to distract from this thread but does anyone else have a Movie Collecting addiction. For some reason Digital copies don’t do it for me. Behind the wall where our TV is mounted and underneath the stairs in the basement there is a small storage room where we built shelves to store my movies and Poker stuff. Garage sales are the best way to get movies on the cheap. Often you’ll find .25 cent to $2 movies. Goodwill is also a great place where most movies are $1.99 and sometimes less. Walmart Valu-Bin is good too. I have a lot of 80’s and 90s movies. I got a lot of Blu Rays and only a handful of 4K movies because they are still expensive. Sometimes buying the actual movie is cheaper than renting it. Just some tips for Ben where he can get some of these movies people list on here on the cheap for Brie.

Are you re-watching Seinfeld right now or just a fan? On S7 right now of my 9th or 10th series re-watch (likely top 3 favorite show)
Fan. Top 3 for me for sure, but probably have spent more viewing time on this than anything else. As a kid with no cable this was the only thing on at the 10 PM time slot, hated it.

20 years and a couple series rewatches here we are (doubt I’ve reached 9th by now though). Once the chips get here, I can finally finish working on the cheap custom MOOPs set https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...-vs-tourney-bounty-design-for-seinfeld.48174/

In no particular order, I'd recommend that Brie watches Fahrenheit 11/9, The Color Purple, and American History X.

The Sandlot
Have seen this!

Everybody should have seen schindlers list, for so many reasons...

And Forrest Gump is probobly the best movie ever made...

But if i have to pick one movie, if you somehow havn't seen it already it has to be Jaws! Still to these days makes me anxious to swim in our shark free waters, as in we have definitly zero maneating sharks, here in sweden.

For bad movie nights:
