I'm pretty sure this has been posted somewhere in this section several times but I'm having trouble finding out certain specifics for a T2K setup. Obviously starting with the standard 10/10/7/2 stack (T5/T25/T100/T500). Below is the tournament structure that we'll probably use for a duration of 4hrs, give or take. Questions immediately following blind structure.

1) Any recommendations for the above blind schedule? Remove a round? Add a round?
2) Which chips are most commonly used to color up the 5's?
3) Which chips are most commonly used to color up the 25's?

I would greatly welcome any additional feedback. While I feel confident in my grasp of the aforementioned, I'm also sharing this post to ensure clarity for those assisting in organizing the charity poker tournament who are not members of PCF. I can just shoot the link over to them and let them feast on useful info.

Thank you guys in advance.

Adding in a 5/15 level would adjust the increase to not be as steep as you have a 100% BB increase first 2 levels.

Yup, you're right. I spotted that after the system spit it out. Noticed very steep increases at first before it starts going 50% and 33% for the others. Thanks!

How many players? As is I can't see this going anywhere close to 4 hrs unless there are like 6+ tables, and that's with adding in some time for breaks.

I would color up the 5s with a few 100s or maybe even a 500, and I'd use 500s and/or 1000s to color up the 25s.

I think I’d also suggest tweaking the 550 level, as multiplying that 3-4 times for a bet could be a task for some. Jmo. But getting rid of this would require tweaking levels after.

Remember you don’t always have to do double small blind. I have a transitional 1000/2500 level in my T25 base, to get rid of the 100 chips for colour up, instead of a 1200/2400.

It will be a 60 max tournament. Expected turnout is probably around the 50 mark. There will be a couple breaks albeit not that long. Left those details out when I posted. That's what I get for rushing to post the thread lol

Considering the aforementioned factors and the total player count, it's likely that the event will extend for that duration. As it is a charity occasion, we intend to emphasize to all participants that start and break times will be strictly adhered to. Breaks will be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes.

I always squint when I see weird levels like 700/1400 or especially 275/550 (just make it 300/600)

Also looks like you’re missing a level between 3k and 6k…2k/4k needs to be in there

True.

Also true. I didn't take the time to comb through the schedule once the app popped it out. Going to make those adjustments and I think it's good to go after that.

My go-to T5-base schedule:

T4000 stacks, 10/20 opening blinds (200bb)
(Alt: T2000, also 200bb with 5/10 and 5/15)

L1 10 20
L2 15 30
L3 20 40
L4 30 60
L5 40 80
remove T5 chips (w/T1000s)
L6 50 100
L7 75 150
L8 100 200
L9 150 300
remove T25 chips (w/T1000s)
L10 200 400
L11 300 600
L12 400 800
L13 600 1200
L14 800 1600
remove T100 chips (w/T5000s)
L15 1000 2000
L16 1500 3000
remove T500 chips (optional)
L17 2000 4000
L18 3000 6000 ** 2k
L19 4000 8000
L20 6000 12000 ** 4k
L21 8000 16000
L22 10000 20000
L23 15000 30000
L24 20000 40000

60 players would run about 20 levels max (6k/12k), so typically up to 5 hours (plus breaks) if using 15-minute levels.

For a charity tournament, I think 100bb stacks are fine (T2000 with 10/20), which also slices off about 30 minutes.

The tournament sensei has spoken. Thank you master.
