Tourney T100/40k or 30k SS, Turbo (2 Viewers)

I used to host weekly STT's 15+years ago... Looking back, the structure wasn't great but we didn't mind. We did something like 10k starting stacks and 100/200 opening blinds, but we started in college during the poker boom and still had fun.

Reading through different breakdowns on the site I see our stacks were way too small, but the goal was to get in 2 quick tourneys each night in under 3ish hours.

I'm getting the group back together, and want to tweak that old structure a bit, but also keep things relatively quick. Ideally, 1.5ish hours for a 6-8 player single table tourney.

-I'm the most into poker in the group, nobody will be questioning the starting stacks/big blind ratio, etc.
-I have a pool table and bubble hockey table, but would like to minimize people being eliminated and not in the game
-Cash game is being considered as well -- possibly for the first hour or two, or maybe even the entire evening...I'm just being prepared for both scenarios.


6-8 players (likely 6 or 7 max)
30k starting stacks, T100 chip set (15/7/15/2)

15 minute levels -- 1 re-entry allowed

am I on the right track? best way to have it end at an hour and a half/hour and 45 min?

Neither of these will end within an hour and a half, even without rebuys. If you can't make the tournament at least a couple hours, you should probably play cash. (The 40K with no rebuys would likely last 3 hours).
