I'm sure they're fine. It's just a personal preference.
Seriously, ^this^. I had similar misgivings about an all-oversize set, until I actually handled the 43mm/25mm label hybrids from Sun-Fly. At 10g, they are near-perfect weight, and just don't feel over-sized or odd to handle or shuffle, unlike heavier Paulson 43mm chips. And unfortunately, the smalller 39mm hybrids just seem lightweight and unsubstantial, especially in comparison to the 43mm hybrids or even to standard 39mm solid ceramics.Have you guys handled these 43mm hybrids? I was a bit concerned about a set of them myself but the feel of these chips are great and I've never heard a complaint about them being oversize or too big to handle.
That's what she said!I've never heard a complaint about them being oversize or too big to handle.
Forgive the stupid question, but would it be possible to order them without the dollar sign?
If there is a demand, then yes we can do that. I also have these if your interested in just a tournament set. Would need to check with Sun-Fly to see how these would be viewed as part of the counts.

If the GB moves forward it will be hosted here, no need to worry about CD it is just another forum.sorry, im not sure, where is cd?
The two stock 39mm Sun-Fly hybrid offerings are made on the two different 39mm Polyinno blanks -- the Violet Dawning chips use the HB002 blank with the larger 28.5mm recess, and the Ascona uses the HB001 blank with the smaller 25.4mm recess (same as the 39mm versions of the AC Boardwalk, Tangiers, Havana Room, and Mayfair Club chips).Random question, does anyone know if the 39mm version of these chips is the same as the Sunfly Ascona chips? Or are there to different molds/formula?
I'd likely be in for blanks using the chips below (sleeves of 25 I presume?) 200/250/250/225/200/100

Yep, if blanks are OK, I'm in for a set too. -- not because I don't love the inlay -- I do LOVE it. But I want to mix and match denoms.
When Sal ran the OWPS group buy, he was able to mix/match any label with any chip style (that was one of the available options). I'm not sure what the situation was, but it seemed like labels weren't an issue in regards to QTY. Not sure if Woody is able to do the same on this one, but it might be an option.
I don't like the look of the 25c chip. Brown seems bland to me...but I could change my mind after seeing samples.
I have questions into Sun-Fly, nothing is set in stone yet. I know blank chips are an option, but checking to see if we can mix and match labels. I am also hoping to offer with and without the $. At this time I was not planning on offering 39mm option. Since they are different chips, I am assuming we would have to hit 5000 to get the discount on those. If 39 mm is really desired and we have the demand, I suggest we do a 2nd GB after this one is done.
For mix and match labels, I can only think of two ways:
Option 1 – Place each order as requested. Would need to work with Sun-fly if we would need to combine similar orders or if we could give them a spreadsheet with the details for each order. I think this option would be a pain in the ass for Sun-Fly and the shipper. Here is a sample order where they are using the $5000 chip as their quarter and a standard order no changes.
Order 1
Orange/Black/yellow chip - 25¢ label - 200
Blue/White chip - $1 label - 200
Red/orange/darkred chip - $5 - 200
Yellow/green/orange chip - $20 - 100
Order 2
Brown/Black chip - 25¢ label - 200
Blue/White chip - $1 label - 200
Red/orange/darkred chip - $5 - 200
Yellow/green/orange chip - $20 - 100
Option 2 – Place an order for inlay chips as is or blank chips and a label. (labels would need to be applied for only non-standard chips once they are received). So a sample order would look like this, where somebody is using the $5000 chip as their 25¢ chip and standard order no changes.
Order 1
labelled chips:
$1 chip - 200
$5 chip - 200
$20 chip - 100
Blank chips
Orange/Black/yellow chip - 200
Labels:
25¢ - 400
Order 2
labelled chips:
25¢ chip - 200
$1 chip - 200
$5 chip - 200
$20 chip - 100
My thought is option 2 would be the easiest to coordinate and less chance of error, Thoughts? I have this question out to Sun-Fly to see what options we have.
