I like the look of solids, too. Best for hotstamps. Best for showing off an inlay or sticker.
Yes they were. Long story... FDL wasn’t available at the time, had a commitment for 100k hot stamped chips... ASM couldn’t stamp, and offered a GB for solids with 1 design. They were offered for $.59 each

Mine are the same as the stock Atlantic Club offerings from CPC - I ordered these custom made before the Atlantic stock chips were available. I'd like to think I had a little something to do with that awesome line of stock chips being available.

Great looking set though, love the minimalist design.
Long gone I’m afraid, for a song compared to the market now too.
Possibly my biggest chipping disappointment that the 2009ASMFDLHSGCGB (or similar!) never came off.
The solid set is one of my favorites. At the time, ASM was running a big sale and I think I got the set with custom inlays for about 70 cents a chip. That certainly figured into the decision, but solids are pretty great.
I know as soon as I saw your chips I wanted to do a hot stamped tourney set!
