The tones really. The inlay background set the bar. So I wanted to use colors that accented it yet each chip had to be very different. I would have liked a few of the colors to be lighter or darker, but I'm happy with the result.

I forgot to mention in the pron post. Anybody who has ordered these take heed. When oiling them only the outside edge of the chip needs to be oiled. The surface of the chip is already fairly bright. More so than any other chip I've seen from CPC using any other mold. The biggest reason I'd say be careful with the oil is that unlike most of the other molds the surfaces are quite smooth and the outer rings, of say something like the A molds or HHRs, act like a barrier.
All in all I'm very happy with the mold choice. I was hesitant at first, but I'm stoked I did it. I'll get weight photos of each chip today.

Alright. So 20 hours later the elation is just setting in. Holy shit, these chips are great. I'm kicking myself for not making a set of these priority earlier.
Huge thanks to @David Spragg and his guys for slamming these out. After a bit of oiling they are ready for the felt. Can't wait!

I used the chipco racks. The chips fit very snug. After a bit of play they'll fit perfectly.

It was just a way to commemorate their putting into play. And January would have been the time I took them...if I hadn't of changed the mold and set them back a few months.

Yes and no. Despite the compositions being totally different they feel just like old trks. That might change over time because of the material differences between the compounds. But minty? Just the same. Slight nubbiness but nothing like the amolds or HHRs. More like MD50.

I disagree. This is also tough to answer because TRK's feel completely different from each other. The New China Club ones felt completely different the MT fives.
As for the CPC scrown mold feeling like TRK's I didn't think so. That was the main reason I didn't jump to order a set.

Sorry, Bill. I'm 150 kms from my set. I haven't even had a chance to really play with them. But when I get home from this roadtrip I'll post some more. But getting back to the feel...the CPCs weigh the same as my Nevada clubs and kings crown chips. The broken in one's feel better than the cpcs for sure. But minty, I can't tell a difference.
