No rebuys. Once felted I take away a toy to show them the real cost of gambling. ;). Jk jk.

But seriously, poker chips are so much nicer for monopoly.
Where are the other denominations? And what are those little chips?

My dad was a ruthless gambler. I can remember playing Michigan rummy with the family when I was a toddler. We only played nickels but I had used my own money to get in. At the end of the night I had won a couple dollars and my dad asked me if I wanted to go double or nothing on my stack. We played high card and I picked a jack and he picked a king. Still remember the cards 40 years later. He felted me and didn’t blink an eye and told me I should have quit a winner at the end of the night. Life lesson right there. Never quit too early on a hot run but never give all your profits back.

I also saw my grandma throw a full can of soup at him because he beat her in monopoly. He made everyone play to the letter of the rules.

I love that man

That's a great story! I love my dad too, and he taught me many wonderful things. He did give me a love for card games and competition, but I don't think he was a very good gambler. I always knew he bet sports and the ponies, and played poker and other money card games. But I never really knew the extent until after he died. My mom tells the story that a few months after he dies, she noticed that she would pay all the bills, but there would still be money left in the bank at the end of the month. And the balance just kept growing. She said in 40 years of marriage there was never money left in the bank at the end of the month. Only then did she realize the extent of his gambling. I think my dad was more like the drunk poker player in @Outkicked story than the ruthless gambler your dad was.

When I was a kid my Dad would beat me gambling for my paper route money, so I'd just cry to my mom and she'd make him give it back

Unfortunately this doesn't seem effective at the casinos

I remember once when my dad gave me money to pay the electricity bill but instead i bought a lottery ticket for a brand new car. When i got home,i explained to my dad what i did and he beat the crap out of me. But the next day, when my dad woke up and opened the door, outside my house was a brand new car. We all cried especially me,because the car was from the electricity company, they were there to cut off the electricity, my dad beat the crap out of me again
