I miss the old days of having cash in play in Ceasars old poker room. Still can use cash at Bellagio though

I have never liked cash on the table. It can be hard to know how much someone has in a stack of bills.
No longer allowed in most card rooms in Michigan for this exact reason. Watched a guy get felted because he didn't know the guy had 3 bills under his red and thought he was only calling 120 effective instead of 420.

Pro Tip : Thats why you ALWAYS ask how much they have behind - crucial info , there are always bad actors who angle the big chips so be careful in the bigger games esp

Sneaking in a quick session (Hold’em, no PLO sears open) before a work dinner. First hand I play I get AKhh, raise to $15, get 3 callers and get a 753 all clubs flop. There is a bet in front of me and I just fold.

Very next hand there are a bunch of limpers and I raise $10 more with 33 and get most of them to call. Flop comes AK3!!! Stack the guy that bet into me the previous hand. Figured I was playing table bully lol.

In for $300.

Just curious, have you ever lost money playing poker?????

Many times! In two back to back sessions I lost every $2k+ pot I was in. Lost over $5k in those sessions. Thankfully they have been the only losses I’ve had this year, but they hurt.

I won a 43-person $120 social hall tournament last night... But did not photograph my stack, because the chips were these...

It’s bad enough that these are 13.5g, which makes the backs of my hands sore after hours of shuffling. In the early stages, there are constant mistakes over the 100s and 500s, because in imperfect light purple looks black.
