I have been using Copags for the last 15 years and I have no complaints. I have been paying about $13-14 for a set (2 decks). I am running thin on my current supply and before ordering another large order (~200 Decks), Id like some suggestions on possible alternatives that make sense economically and that can hold up to heavy use. Usage is nightly and we currently rotate about 8 decks at a time until they become too warn down. I would say 1 deck of cards can last about 2 weeks within the rotation. Thats just a guess. Ive always been interested in custom cards for my game but havent been looking long enough to see if thats even possible with a good quality card thats afforable. Id prefer to keep cost under $8 a deck. What do you guys think?

I think Copags are fair for dollar spent, you may also consider DalNegro, Fournier or Bicycle Prestige made in Spain
If index size would not be relevant 2012 WSOP Fournier that you may buy on eBay dirt cheap

I don't believe sayin this but Trefl cards are very durable but available only in poker size

What are these? Searched and nothing came up
haha just a popular James Bond Casino, not a reall copag design, but something many members here would want. Custom order/group buys requiree orders of 1,000 decks or more most likley. Most people dont buy 200 decks like yourself, so it was an attempt at a joke.

If a group buy us actually feasible, why not?

I used to use Copag. Religiously. Then I was introduced to Fournier. Fournier is a lot more expensive. A lot. So I set up a test. We played every Saturday for a year. We used Copag, then the next Saturday we used Fournier. After alternating every Saturday for a year all 6 sets of Copags we're shot, while my original set of Fournier was still going strong. Lesson learned.

Copags are good only because they are cheap and easy to find. If I need 12 new sets in a hurry for a tournament at the union hall I will order Copags. I am only ordering them because they are only for that specific tournament and I don't care what happens to them afterwards. When I care about the cards and want something good, I get Fournier.

You’ll find (and already have, obviously) that a bunch of us are card snobs too. I have used about every name brand there is, and the one I absolutely refuse to buy is Copag. Some people love them, but they have just never done it for me. Give some other brands and try, and I’m betting you won’t be sorry.

KEM, Faded Spade, Gemaco Superflex (if you can find them), DesJgn, etc.
