Hi all,
The guys I play with do better with jumbo index cards. It's amazing to me though how much the size and placement of the PIP varies from card to card. I bought a set of Modianos a long
time ago that were jumbo index, but it was a little smaller than some other jumbo index. The box is just labeled like any other Modiano box as Jumbo Index.
I think more importantly to me is the placement of the index on the card. I bought a set of Slowplays, and the suits are way down from the top. You have to lift up half of the card when peeking! I'd like some cards with the index as far up in the corners as possible. Seems to make more sense to me.
Attached is a picture of what I'm talking about. The old Modiano "Jumbo Index" is on the left. I think this size and placement is good, but could be even closer to the edge for me. The second from the left is a newer Modiano jumbo index that I think is closest to most jumbo index cards I see these days. The third one is some casino branded card where the pip is ridiculously low on the card - fail. The fourth is an old Desjgn card I have. The placement and size of this is pretty good, maybe I should try those again. (Had big problems with the backs bleeding onto the fronts with those old decks I had so that made me not consider them too much.)
Sooo... any suggestions on which cards have jumbo index but have them moved up into the corner as much as possible? Bullets seem to look good in this regard, but they are expensive, so I haven't tried them yet. Thanks for any suggestions.
