You people crack me up. We will be having a sale soon. I was really only contemplating whether to offer all 3 casinos at once or do one at a time. The sale(s) will go off as normal, with total order limits and denomination percentage limits. With these casinos being so small, I'm afraid that they will be sold out in seconds.

As a buyer I would give my vote to 3 in 1 to potentially save shipping costs. Side-effect hopefully less package for you to make

Jim is on the ball when it comes to combine shipping. So that shouldn't be a worry.

I'd like all at once since I think that way will distribute the chippies to the most people.

Whatever Jim does will be the right call.

Some people will definitely be buying and....

Is that a typo..."all 3 casinos?" I thought it was just 2. Did he pick up some MOAR????

I think 3 at once would result in a lot of people finding different items in their cart sold out as they try to complete their order and a lot of frustration.

I'd say release one at a time over the course of a few hours or a day. Still allows combining shipping and keeps someone from missing out one one whole set because something else they wanted sold out first and then they couldn't update their cart in time, etc etc.

Have your choices ready to go for all three sets. Selling them all at once allows people to mix and match (and maybe fill in a denom if something they want is sold out).

I just need the prices listed so that I will no if this is pipe dream or not :)

Right, but if you load up your cart with all your predetermined choices for three different sets and then find that you can't get one item, the time it takes to remove the one item may result in more items selling out and eventually your cart gets ragged. I'm just thinking back to the Horseshoe sales where people would load up and find that one thing was sold out and then it would snowball as they had to go back and make changes to try and get an order through. Having three sets available all with (relatively) small quantities makes it seem like those problems will be magnified.

I would think a mix and match would be easier to accomplish in a three part sale if you're only looking for a couple denoms max per release.

Maybe some should contact their ISP and ask to try the fastest speed available around sale time ...sure would suck to lose out on chipes because your 18 bit service got lit up by another's FO connection.

Step 1.: Load up cart and hit checkout.
Step 2.: If anything is out of stock, check out anyway.
Step 3.: In a second transaction, try to reload cart with a replacement for what was sold out.
Step 4.: Post a WANTED thread on PCF either trying to get what you wanted first, or offering to trade what you got for what you want.
Step 5.: Wait for the flippers to start flipping.

My only suggestion would be that when you add something to your cart, you'd have X number of minutes (like 10) to checkout and process the order, thereby removing the stock from the general pool long enough to place the order.
I don't know what would be involved on the sale side, but it would be similar to buying event/concert tickets where there is a "rush" on the sales.

I just think when you get to the "Pay now" screen and still lose items from the order before you've entered even a PayPal password, that's where the system fails.....

Yep, these steps will be necessary no matter how it goes down.

Step 1.5: Load up separate browsers with totally different orders. If item is sold out advance to browser that does not require that item.

Would one of the pros here please assist?

How does Jim usually telegraph when a sale will begin.

Does he make a posting and then, bam! Sale starts?

Does he give a notice that at X time and X date the sale will begin??

Thanks

He'll post a sale time in advance and then the sale will begin at said time.
