I wonder what Jim thinks if he ever reads this....And I assume he does...

So Jim - Thank you very much for everything you do for the chipping community.

I am a big fan of fair And my experience with Jim is that he ALWAYS aims to be fair.

But life isnt fair all the time.

So its really good when its not fair and it works for you and its really bad when it doesn't.

Still the opinions in this thread are hands down LOL funny...

you guys crack me up!

I ended up with thousands of El Rancho house mold roulette chips ranging from used to worn condition. The hot stamps are faint memories of their former glory, ( with a tiny sample of good chips not being relabeled) . There are no spots on any chip, as expected since the chips are roulettes.

I am planning to take the hot stamp from this large crown chip as the template for the labels. I noted that this series of chips all seemed to be unspotted.

I think this project is going to be expensive, but then I'll have the only set like this around.

Even so, I can't help but eye these new chips from the Chiproom with a little lust in my heart.

It means if you're gonna be in surgery when the sale is scheduled to go live, tell your friend to buy you two racks of $5's.

@TheChipRoom when are you going to take our money?

Remember the weeks nearly months of calculating the chips you can buy to make sets while staying within the % guidelines? That was so damn much fun I remember it clearly a year later...and years later I assume.

I really hope he stays true to Jim and takes complete control and ignores each and every suggestion made ;)

My Clevelands are right up there in my prized possessions rivaling my sports cars... and I am looking very much forward to getting another set if possible!!!

^^ This.

(Well, except for that "no sales to flippers / resellers" suggestion. I think this is the first chip sale he's having since he made this comment in the HS Cleveland thread, so I'm hoping he sticks to it.)

Flippers / Resellers are almost impossible to negate. Anyone can claim they decided to go in a different direction. Anyone can buy and then make a private sale to a flipper/reseller.

As tough a decision as some think it may be, it really is about economics (Jims economics more specifically) and charity. If it is just a money making decision, the answer is completely obvious. List them on eBay in limited quantities and let the bidding wars begin...

On the other hand, if this is a hobby for him and money isn't part of the equation, make up sets and raffle them off...

No matter what he decides, there will be some folks that won't be happy.

Dear wallet,

You have been a good friend, but unfortunately there is a Chip Room sale happening soon, so we must part ways. Maybe we will see each other again soon.

Sincerely, Matt.

Dear Matt,
Go fuck yourself. your not buying any chips. Put me back in your pocket and STFU.
Sincerely, Wallet.

Damn...your wallet sounds an awful lot like my wife AND conscience...

True enough. However, the "no future sales to flippers" was actually something Jim said during the HS sale.

As discussed in previous threads, he's quite aware that his prices are below what he could get for these on the open market when he opens these sales to us, especially if it's a Black Friday sale or a limited chip (snappers come to mind). There was a bit of speculation how he would track HS resales at the time, but it'll be interesting to see if/how he decides to address that situation this time around.

It's a moot point for me, though -- I'm not in the market for these, and would only order on behalf of another PCFer that might miss the start of the sale (like last time).

I'll take 200 ones and 200 fives please.

Damn it!

Is it too late to clarify you would be paying me for them once they were ordered?.

Not unless I don't have too lol

I only have phone access to off after work hours. Makes these flash sales difficult to say the least

sorry... missed it.

surprised. native lights web site still shows they have table games.

tonkawa chipguide page shows they have no chips.

Tonkawa had an East and a West. Only one had chips.

You ordering some?

You can see the chips in later posts or go to chip guide.com to see them

True enough. However, the "no future sales to flippers" was actually something Jim said during the HS sale.

There are people on this site that have a history of participating in Jim's sales and then historically consistent with selling shortly thereafter, regardless of their states reasons why they sell. Flippers are flippers, regardless of their supposed motovation.

Those Native Lights secondaries... I'd just be happy with a rack of the most flea-bitten yellow .50c....
