Rhodeman77’s cash games. Pics and stories (2 Viewers)

Shortly after the SF I took a couple of rough beats. First one I flopped top set with a Jack high flush draw. Bet the flop and turn, river completes the flush along with the obvious possible wrap that was on the flop. Villain check and I bet thinking he made his straight and may pay me off. He instead puts in a check raise and I pay him off. He doesn’t even have the nut flush, King high only, no other draw at all.

Next one was when a different villain and I both flop Broadway. I turn trip Jacks to go with it and it gives him a flush *draw* to go with his. So the pot got big! River is an off suite 4 and we both check and table our hands announcing straight. He says how he picked up his redraw to the flush and the dealer notices he has K1044 for a river full house, ugh!!!!!

Shortly after I bust a short stack and we are playing 3 handed. I win a big hand, about $800 when I flop Aces up, but the turn makes Broadway possible while giving me the nut flush draw. Villain check raises me for pot and I call. I complete my flush on the river and move all-in and get called. I got pretty lucky because he also made a flush to go along with his turned straight.

We stopped playing shortly after that as it was 4:15 and I knew I had to be up by 6:30 when the boys woke up.

Ended up winning $250 for the night. 2 new players booked small wins so hopefully they will be back.

Were these all PLO hands? Sounds like great action. Also, kudos for being willing to run on two hours of sleep!

Yes, those were all PLO hands. We modified the structure to 2 rounds of PLO to 1 round of Hold’em for a while until one of the dealers from the casino showed up that wanted to play 1:1 again. After midnight players can choose to deal PLO or Hold’em, pretty much every hand is PLO at that point.

Going on 2 hours of sleep on a poker night is pretty standard for me. It’s the only way I get to play! If I told my wife I have to sleep in she would laugh at me and tell me no more poker games. It’s the price to do business.

Oh no! Kids got into the basement before I could clean up.

I’ve had 2 people that couldn’t play this week text me before 9am today asking if there will be another game next week. Hopefully this is a good sign to having games on a more regular schedule. I’d like to get to having them at least twice per month and mix in the occasional tournament and limit game as well.

My grandsons were over yesterday. I had two cases of poker chips to organize from traveling with them to the meet up. The oldest (5 year old) asked if he could help. I kept him busy for about an hour stacking chips into barrels. He loved it lol. We were having too much fun and I forgot to take any pictures :(

Excited for tonight’s game! Full table and we will have a dedicated dealer as well. I love when we have a dealer, more hands per hour and it frees me up.

My wife is making slow cooker burritos and a hamburger cheese dip. Hot dogs and sausages will be on the roller.

Club House chips will be in use. Actually get to put my dealer button in play with the chips and cut cards for the first time.

Hopefully without having to worry about dealing I’ll remember to take more pictures throughout the night.

.... And I’m hoping several of Adam’s pics will show many of those awesome Club House chips in front of me.

Honestly, this may be weird but every time that I saw Hornet's avatar, I always hoped that the picture was actually him. Now that I know it is, I like him a little bit more.
I don’t know you Sprouty, and this might be the alcohol speaking, but I love you. That post really made me laugh.

Haha, he does kinda look like Kroll though.

@Rhodeman77 thanks for a great night. You are an awesome host and the game was a total blast, car bombs and all!

The deck was hitting me all night, but I think you can tell my money is always in play. I’ll definitely bring it back the next time. And I’m hoping a meetup is in my future one day.
