Rhodeman77’s cash games. Pics and stories (1 Viewer)

I don’t have enough $1 chips in any of my sets to run a $2/4 limit game the proper way and I didn’t feel like carrying 1000 $1’s out of and back to the casino so I am using my $2 chip set with a few $1’s for the small blinds. It should work fine, when I had a $3/6 limit game with all $1’s when I had the Soapy’s Parlor set a few players asked where the $5 chips were. They didn’t like counting out all the $1’s.

6 players confirmed for tomorrow’s $2/4 limit circus lite game.

Only picture I managed to take during the game. It turned out well. Not a lot of money changed hands. We were done by midnight. Biggest winner was up $170, next was only $50.

Once everyone else left TK and I played heads up pot limit Big O. It took about 2 hours to bust him so I ended up winning $120 for the night thanks to our heads up match. Otherwise I would have been about dead even.

Hollywood 8 was the most liked game by far. Scrotum8 probably had the most thought put into every hand. Overall it went well and will definitely happen again, but hopefully at $4/8 so we can have some decent money move around.

Supposed to have the normal PLO/Hold’em game tomorrow. Hopefully it happens, I have 7 players that all confirmed tonight and 1 of them is a whale that doesn’t play much anymore but used to a weekly regular years ago. His family owns several boutique grocery stores so he has some money. I made sure to let my regulars know he is coming, I wouldn’t be surprised to get several last minute texts asking if there is an open seat lol. The TRK Kings Crown will get to hit the felt after a long break.

As predicted the players are coming out of the woodwork now! Table is full now if everyone shows.

The thing that drives me nuts is that only 3 people confirmed to play right away so even as of last night I wasn’t 100% sure the game would happen since I have had people cancel the day of or no show on many occasions.

So I didn’t buy food to feed 9 people in case the game was canceled. Now I am ordering pizza instead. My wife would have made a meal in the crockpot that always goes over huge, but without the commitment early on I am not going to chance having a bunch of food go to waste.

End rant!

I understand the frustration. I feel like I’m begging people to play so I can confirm a full table. No one understands the work put into providing the venue/food/gambling paraphernalia and that it also needs the players for the whole night to succeed.

To solve my problem I’ve been trying to find more people to add to the pool. Supply and demand dictates that I can’t threaten people that the seats will run out... yet.

Had 2 people cancel, including one of my action whales. But the game was still very juicy with lots of chips. Pretty much everyone had a rack of $5 for a while.

I was involved in a few very sick hand. One where I flopped nut straight with a flush and bigger straight redraw vs the bare nut straight. So I was free rolling him in a $1800+ pot. Brick, brick. :(

A few hands later I get it all in against the same guy on the turn with the nut straight and some blockers vs his top 2 pair and a flush draw. Another $1800+ pot, we decide to run 3 rivers, he makes full houses in the first 2 and my straight holds in the thirds. Yuck!

I add on after that hand and ended up in the game for $900. Right after that a player went in tilt and I caught some decent hands against him.

We played 3 handed until 3am.

I have this every game i host lol. Thats why the hotdog roller is perfect. They stay in the fridge and the guys can help themselves if they want. :)

Some leftovers are better the second day!
Especially archetypal mediterranean dishes (various summer vegetables cooked in olive oil). Even better out of the fridge sometimes, than out of the oven - with tons of feta cheese and good bread.:jawdrop:
(Totally unsuitable dishes for poker occasions though; they can get messy at the wrong hands):)

Sitting here wishing some of my regulars would text me to have a last minute poker game then realizing most of them are in Vegas playing the Main Event while I sit here getting drunk. :(

Get out there! My buddy is playing day 2 tomorrow and I’m doing Hendon Mob research on his opponents. It’s fun but also tells me how f’n good some of these players are.

4 kids pretty much make that impossible at this time. Eventually I will do it. Too many of my friends have made deep runs not to. Including a 13rh place finish a few years ago.

I was planning on playing at the casino tonight because several of my regulars are camping so I wasn’t going to try to have a game, but a few people texted me he this morning asking me to have one so I am!

6 players have confirmed with the possibility of a few others later in the night.

Only of my regulars with 1 action guy so it may be a smaller game over all. But every time I think that it turns out to be a decent game.

We got a late start but are playing now. Won or chopped the first 5 hands only showing the chop hand. Then I flop a straight and flush draw and paid off on the river when I make the nut straight and he has the smaller end.
