That airport sucks. TSA lines are always horrendous and it snows too much.Colorado?
Denver is on the list.Colorado?
Plus, @Hornet , I just might be able to find you a home game every couole of weeks.Heeeeyyyy, Richmond! Come on over, we almost have legal poker!
That's true - so with that said, he has 4 options for private jet travel out of Dallas.A man of @Hornet's means flies private jets, so TSA is not an issue.
Probably not in the middle of the city because I tend to like more space. Other than easy access to a large airport, we are looking for a mix of outdoor and cultural activities, and good food and drink. Access to poker and/or a casino are considerations for me. Good weather and non-punitive taxes are a must. Are you planning on living in the city itself, or within the larger metro area? What other characteristics/offerings are you looking for besides access to a major airport that will make travel easy?
If you're considering Texas, why not look into San Antonio? Every time that I've been there I've loved it. It's cheaper than Dallas, it has its own unique culture, and it likely has all of the big city amenities that you want, but without the same sprawl/congestion as Dallas/FTW

We thought about San Antonio, but it seemed like a third choice behind Dallas and Austin (where we have family). I’ve never spent any time there.
Yes. We liked Asheville, but my wife was a little put off by the horde of bachelorette parties that were going on while we were there. It seemed like the tourists outnumbered everyone else. Seemed like a great small city to visit, but we’d rather live in Charlotte.Charlotte is a pretty good choice. I lived in NC for a while (on the Atlantic Coast) and always enjoyed Charlotte. I saw you posted about the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area as well. Have you been to Asheville yet?
Well if hordes of bachelorette parties are a deal breaker, Nashville is probably going to fall down the listYes. We’ve been to Nashville. It’s a party town for sure, but the bachelorette parties blend in a bit more lol.Well if hordes of bachelorette parties are a deal breaker, Nashville is probably going to fall down the list

Pocket change for @Hornet! He wins that much on Club 875! LolJust buy a house now before they are all $1,000,000 plus.
It's always going to be an issue in Dallas. Austin and other areas, not as much.@CraigT78 Any idea if the poker licensing issue that TCH Dallas is running into will be a widespread long term issue for other cardrooms as well?

Is it because the casinos in Oklahoma are close enough that they see poker rooms as a threat?
Hey poker zombie, I am looking for a 1/2 or 1/3 game in nashville. Im from NC and will be there from this wednesday to saturday for a concert, any chance I could give you a video call or FaceTime to confirm my identity so that I can play some poker in nashville this week?No poker in Nashville.
Well... I might know a guy... I think he can get you in on a game...
For stakes that large, I just go to a casino (Indiana/Mississippi/North Carolina). I'm sure there are underground games that run around here, but that's not my crowd.Hey poker zombie, I am looking for a 1/2 or 1/3 game in nashville. -Charlottesville is a college town with all the goods and bads that go with one. It's a tad isolated, but nestled against the Shenandoah National Park if you are into the outdoors. Tons of cool places close by....like breweries and small ski slopes. Traffic isnt too bad except on game days, right on I64.I think my wife and I have pretty much settled on east of the Mississippi (that really narrows it down, right?). And after driving through the great state of Virginia for the @Seeking Alpha Social Club meetup, I have to say I’m considering other options. Maybe Richmond, Charlottesville (never been there), Fredericksburg or even some place closer to DC. North Carolina and Sarasota are still on the short list.

You may want to check out the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte.Going to check out a few of the higher ranked places on our list the next few months. Richmond in a few weeks, Raleigh Durham in October. Probably Charlotte around Labor Day. A work colleague of mine has a house on Lake Keowee in SC (near Greenville) so we’ll probably check that out too. Might pair that with a condo in Atlanta, who knows.
That is actually right near the top of our list. Home prices have really gone crazy the last couple of years though. If that's the choice, we may rent for a couple of years. You may want to check out the Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte.
We visited last year and it just didn't seem to be much of a city. We probably didn't spend enough time there though.Wilmington NC is a very nice area
