We had the "Rate this inlay" series in 2020, and since I like polls, I thought I'd start a series to pick PCF favorite line up. I am going to use pictures of samples I own because as usueful as the Chip Guide can be, picture quality is often...subpar. Sadly I don't have that many samples, so you are encouraged to contribute with your own (cash/tournament, casino/fantasy - THC/RHC/TRK, your personal CPC custom...)

What you are voting on:
- color progression/combinations
- edge spot progression
- inlay design
How do you rate the overall design of the set?

What you aren't voting on:
- rarity/availability
- condition
- affordability

The 1k and 5k are fantastic chips, shame the rest of the lineup shares the same edge spot pattern. 1 is a big meh. 7/10 for me.

I love these. I think its because the design (Nice spots, colors and shaped inlays), but I have a feeling I'm a bit biased because of their history.

Such a weird set, but I love it. If I could possibly own a full tournament set actually used in a casino, this would be the one. That said, it's a little bizzare. The solid off-white 1 is an odd choice. Were they even used? Shaped inlays up until the 5k, with the 5k just being round is a bit strange to me. I really like 8V's, so the 5-500 really do it for me. The quarter pie 1k is where it goes sideways. Why that chip and those edge spots? Then followed up by a bearclaw with a round inlay? Some really weird design choices going on, and if those 1k and 5k were later additions they really deviated from the original design of the set. In any case, these are an easy 8 for me. I like all the colors just fine.

Definite contrast in spots and base to avoid dirty stacks, and 8v is just an awesome tourney set, then the $1000 comes in and changes everything. Shaped inlays are great, really like the 500 in the line up. Great set but $1000 keeps from a 9+

I agree with most of what Jim says. From a cohesive design standpoint it's a little off. Looking at each chip individually, there are some real beauties. For me the 25 is one of my favorites in all of chip-dom. 100 and 5000 are absolute fire as well. Also love the 1000 in spite of the fact it really looks out of place in this set. Then when you throw in the historical significance of the set and it's desirability, it definitely scores an 8+ for me.
