I've always loved the PNY set but being a West Coast guy, the NY theme wasn't a great fit for me.
I made some inlay mocks with SF landmarks many years ago and liked them. Thought I'd try the current CPC colors and see how it looks using the PNY inlay.

To my eye, the chips are close. The inlay size is weird because I am so used to the giant inlay.
What do you think?

Nothing against the great city of New York but when it comes down to it, I’ll take the SFC over PNY all day long.

I like it! Spot colors look pretty good, minus the metallic gold obviously, and the spot on the $1 is actually like olive green, I'd use "forest green" maybe. I'd try it on FDL mold with 1 1/6" inlay though I think

Great idea - I'd mock the other hundo spot pattern so it doesn't match the 5. Where are the 500 and oversized 1000? What are your SF landmarks? I presume you'll have the Golden Gate and Transamerica building (is the name the same?) maybe Alcatraz?

I don't collect sample sets but I'd want one of these.

reminded me of a set I designed a few years ago. Different look and feel, but similar concept with SF landmarks.

For a THC yes, but for a RHC the FDL mold is more appropriate.

Agreed. The glossy inlay on the fdl would be appropriate for the theme I’d say too.

I think the FDL also works well with larger inlays too.

FDL mold if you want a lot of detailed/ sharp images. Check out my sunset chips. It's Judy one of many sets on here that used the FDL MOLD

I’m not a big fan of FDL but might have to agree in this case. I thought about no mold for these (assuming they do spots with no mold). Jockey reminds me too much of Insane Clown Posse

I wasn't a fan either until @Ben sent me a sample set to shuffle. Haven't lined back since.
