Oh my! Careful not to get addicted to broccoli and overdose.

Also, how do your turn the green planty thing into a gummy bear?

Took advantage of HexClad's Black Friday sale to get three pots, three pans, and a wok with lids. Took the Black Friday savings and rolled it into a new storage cabinet for said pots and pans.

A new flexible cooler (and cold pack) so I can haul groceries up to the observatory for my work shifts.* **

* My current cooler is definitely showing it's age between a fraying inner liner and increasingly questionable zipper. It's served me well for the last 15 years or so, and hard to beat as it was gifted to me that long ago. As some folks at RIA-IV heard, I was interviewing for a different telescope operator position during that event and was offered that position last month. Those will be longer duration but less frequent shifts than I do now, but also on a mountaintop over an hour further away than the one I am at now***. I'll need to carry more groceries and for a longer time. The upgrade was due anyway, but the new position helped advance the purchase in the timeline.

** This was top-rated in one of the America's Test Kitchen reviews a couple years ago, and I've never been led astray by their reviews. This wasn't cheap, but should carry a bunch of groceries to the 'new' mountain for quite a long time.

*** I had a site tour of the new facility as part of the interview process. Expect the quantity and quality of "beautiful mountaintop" view out my window shots from me to go down, simply because the new site is nowhere near as scenic as the place I'm at now. Still a great mountaintop here in southern Arizona, but definitely less dramatic. I won't be as free to "roam about the cabin" as I can at my current location for... reasons, so also another mark against cool scenic photos. More on all that in future posts.

Poker related, but more for the mouse pad than chips. The WPT PokerPadz I have been using one in my office for years now as a mousepad and chip shuffling pad once in while. The PokerPadz has not been produced for years now. The one on my desk is pretty Grimy and the felt is very stained from being used for years so I've wanted to replace mine for long time now. I always search for these on eBay once in a while to see if they have the WPT, COPAG, or original one for sale and found one today in the US. All the overseas sellers of these won't ship to the US. I didn't want to pay 40+Shipping & Tax for one, but I just had to have it.

Any other old cardboard guys around here?
I’m still waiting on usps to bring chips today, but FedEx just came with this!

I’ve wanted this card for 35 years. Decided if I could beat my dad’s record for days lived on this earth, I’d get it for myself. That happened a couple weeks ago, so here we are!

Oh and if you crop it just right, it almost doesn’t look like a dog ate it

Got these hand pads today. My 12 YO son is taking Karate and is going from his green to purple belt soon. He enjoys going to Karate class. His punches are a little weaker than they should be and they don’t seem to have a lot of force behind them. So I figured I’d get these hand pads from Amazon so I can practice with him at home. They had pretty good ratings so I got them.
