So I was in LA last weekend and received a players card. Super awesome idea.

But it got me thinking. What would the interest level be for custom printed players cards to give you to your regulars? Ordering online is not cost effective, but what if a vendor here invested in a ID card printer and sold to all the various home games and leagues.

So this poll is to see what the masses would pay for custom players cards.

For the poll, assume single sided with dual sided being a 25-50% upcharge.

I’m working on some, but I need barcodes on one side, distinct for each player. The plan is to have every player pay me, grab their player card, scan it, get chips, and go.

That could be an option, print the players bar code on the back!

you could do a rake 1 night on the cash game

but you know your regulars would just give you the money, your game, your rules, just say hey this is what we are going to to control the cash/electronic money flow

I like the ideal, but I wouldn't carry a casino players card on me, nor a home game. What would be the benefit of having a players card for a home game; if you were taking a rake looking to give a rake back maybe.

Because it's another opportunity to throw your logo on some shit we don't really need?

Some people's home games are electronic only. They settle up on Venmo afterwards. This could be a way to let the computer track who owes who when the game is done.

Dumb question for you guys. Why pay an outside firm for something I do myself for dirt cheap? You can go to myassettag.com and create custom printable barcodes for free. USB barcode scanners are dirt cheap. You make what you want, laminate it in a dirt cheap pouch laminator from Amazon, and poof done. This can be done so cheaply and so easily that I have to ask if it is worth paying someone else to do this.

This was my plan. Having an issue getting the scanner to translate the keystrokes to the computer. Haven’t had time to research much
