High Hand
This weekend I was looking at alternative cards for Kem and really couldn't find one that I liked, so I put together my own collection just for fun.
The three things that I look for in a card design are:
Vivid Colors
A lot of cards have a very light and washed out color scheme -- like the printer ran out of ink. I don't know why
Clean Backs
I like card backs with a clean, simple design. I'm a huge fan of circle backs (only available for casinos) and I don't know why consumers can't get a similarly clean design.
Traditional fonts & pips
I put together a script, mashed up some public domain art & came up with this set!
I've placed an order on Make Playing Cards to see how they feel in-person & play, but I've heard that MPC's playability is still lacking.
I'd be interested in finding a manufacturer to actually print these if there's enough interest. I've seen a bunch of reviews of MPC, but has anyone ever tried:
or have any other ideas for how to get these manufactured?
I'd also love to find a way to print on cellulose acetate...
