Totally neglects that the virus is more likely to spread on communally handled chips and cards.
@Anthony Martino will have to let us know how it goes.
I’m a degen with the rest of y’all, but no way I would want to play like this. Just curious whether others would be willing to.

I stand by my prior statement!
People sitting at a table would have to wash their hands before sitting down and wear a mask and goggles/glasses to assure this doesn't happen. If people aren't touching their eyes/mouth/nose before touching the chips and cards, the risk of transmission, plexiglass or not, is quite low provided the masks and glasses stay on.Totally neglects that the virus is more likely to spread on communally handled chips and cards.

that is the problem. Even if people were willing to play 4 handed, the house can't make enough money to break even.Mmmmm...poker 4-handed...that's fun. I can wait.

Sounds right, but it won't work. 4 handed there are way too many hands that end by the flop. The house only gets $1 or $2 rake where they would almost always get a max rake with 8-9-10 players. A good dealer is still going to get out 18-20 hands in 30 minutes.Wouldn't they make more money then a typical 9 handed table as there are less players and more hands dealt? I get there won't be as many larger pots but definitely more hands dealt. That being said...the casino would much rather just replace the poker room with slot machines.
