Hi All,

Just finished my 1000 Chip Vineyard set and looking of the best size Pelican case. I see a lot of threads on this topic but none that specifically call our the best case for 1000 Chip set. I'm pretty stuck on getting a Pelican any Pics and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

1 barrel of 8 spot arriving in about an hour. Don't think I'lll ever need more than that? Do you think my set breakdown is OK for a cash game $1/$2?
Sweet. Yea that’s a pretty good set for $1/2. I would maybe swap a rack of $1s for a rack of $5s and maybe get another barrel of $100s in case your game gets crazy, but you’re ready to roll.

Thanks Chris - Yeah agree on a 4th rack of 5's - they are damn hard to get though… Now I need a tourney set :vomit:. Any high end tourney sets I should consider?

For high end, I like the Empress Star secondary - the WSOP look-alikes. A lot of people like the Aurora Star hotstamps as well.

Dunno if you're waiting for delivery or still searching for the Vineyard fracs. If the latter, a suggestion:

Check out the Chipco Vineyard quarters. IMO, they look and play a lot better with Paulson Vineyards than the Paulson hotstamps do.

Nice set of chips! Whenever we play 1/2 I have found that 2 racks of 1s is more than enough. I also agree that another rack of 5s would be great and maybe some more 20s. It really depends how deep and wild your 1/2 game plays.

My breakdown for our 1/2 game
200 - 1s
400 - 5s
160 to 260 - 25s
40 - 100s

The 5s are the workhorse chip, so I recently added 2 more racks of those. I used to carry more 1s with me but the players complained for color ups as they collected most of them.

Thank you!!! Totally agree on the extra rack of 5's :banghead: We also play a lot of just $1/$1

I agree - not a fan of the Paulson vineyard fracs. I have some King's Casino Hot stamps .25 (blue) and .50 (yellow) that I have sued with this set but they clash too much with the 1's and 5's.

Hopefully this is just for uber secure storage and ultra short secure travel, because this will be awkwardly heavy for any consistent distance carrying.

Its nice to know, if you haven't touched the chips for years, they are safe and secure in the Pelican. If the Apache work well too, great. You just pick up where you last had the obsession.

exactly ...i opened them up they other night and the obsession was still there ... just hidden for a while until this craziness is over. A show of hands - how many of you have already been back to your regular games? just curious

We have had one game since February. It was short handed with only 6 of us. That was early last month. We don't have a plan for another game yet but may try next weekend.
