Anyone ever order from ihavana?

My buddy wants to split a box and I’m skeptical.

I did the same research as your buddy. chose COH and has been ok so far. have not tried ihavana yet. My colleague has used topcubans and puro. I wasn't impressed by the montes #2 and hoyas. I assume since its grayish market. I cross reference reddit and FOH to figure out where and what to buy. Looking to order aged cc's next at
lacasadeltabaco.com/en/ out of the eu.

#1 cigar of the year. How is it? Spicy? Earthy? Creamy?

Very strong. Eat first. Decent amount of spice. Good flavor changes.

I'm not so great at describing all of the flavors but I agree with this review. First impressions are bold and savory with strong notes of hickory and leather. But it continues to take on a complex spiciness of saffron and cumin as well as a slight tangy note that brings the strength and spice together quite gracefully—and it only gets better with every puff.

Dude. I vote next meetup at your house!!! That’s freakin awesome!

@CraigT78 and others. Do you have anything for the cigar smoke in your poker room for filtration? This would be something I would like to do to upgrade my basement where we play poker. I just dont know what to look for or if anything is even available.

I currently just open the windows and put on a fan blowing outside but in the winter that sucks because it is cold. Any recommendations?

Also any recommendations on buying an battery powered hydromidor for my humidors. Getting tired of keeping up with maintenance each month in the high altitude and dry climate.

Looking forward to the responses.

I can answer both questions!

For the exhaust, I purchased a Panasonic WhisperLine 440cfm fan. In my poker room it was an easy install, as the back side of the room was the attic. I added a vent in the room near the door (to keep smoke from going into the house) and put the fan behind the wall. From there I ran ducting to the roof and out a roof vent.

So to set expectations, this does NOT suck the smoke right out. But the negative ventilation keeps the smoke from entering the rest of the house. My room is roughly 400sqft and it keeps the room from filling with smoke, but the smell lingers. I leave it running overnight, and burn a candle the next day - no issues with the wife. The challenge is that it pulls air into the room like crazy. In the Texas summers where it is 100+ outside, I cannot have smoking in the room my window A/C will not keep up with 20 dudes in the room. Just something to consider in your cold ass winters.
