I thought it would be nice to create a thread for people to share their 2024 PCF experiences.

For me, it was my first full year being in here. I believe it elevated my home to the next level. I host 18 games a year, and I work in table games with mostly casino folk coming to my games. Because of this, I felt the need to upgrade.

In the beginning of the year I order a Tina cash and Tournament set. Then I caught the Paulson bug. I sold my Tina cash set and built a Paulson RHC over label set.

I bought a Tchan custom layout for my big table. Then my games became more popular so I bought a Barrington for an overflow table with a custom topper.

I discovered Desjgn cards and had custom cut cards made. Many dealer buttons were purchased and a Chipco limit set. I bought various poker supplies from many great venders on here. I also caught the singles bug. I now have two display cases full of them.

In 2025 I hope to have funds in place for a couple of CPC sets by April. If not, I hope they decide to continue on or find a great buyer to continue the business.
I met many great members and hope to meet more.

I look forward to see what 2025 brings.

Happy New Years everyone!

No year in review is complete without a remembrance for our banned chippers from this year  :ROFLMAO:

My 2024-
I spent a whole year 3d printing poker products. Quadrupled my chip count but most likely closer to 10x the count but not sure the word for that lol.
3d printing helped justify and cover for the major chip acquisition, or helped my wife ignore the cost of it atleast.
I have been much more active this year and learned a ton.

2025 will bring some big changes.
My new years resolution is to not buy any chips. Lol ya right we'll see if I can hold back atleast.
Hoping to aquire a CNC or laser or both.

Things have been going severely downhill at work the last few months with new management change. I've been dragging my feet doing anything about it hoping things would get better. Today I sucked it up and started applying for a few of the jobs I had saved with more to do the next few days.
Next few months employment status will definitely have a large impact on any fun activities and toys.
I haven't been to Vegas since 2017 and crossing my fingers this is the year I get back there.
Also hoping to get to atleast a few more PCF meetups this year.

Happy New Year!

Bought a barrington on a whim when they were on sale in January 2024 which brought me here. That lead to 2 cash sets, a tourney set, topper along with multiple buttons, setups and far too many singles.

During that span I’ve hosted exactly one game.

Fuck it tho, I like what I’ve built up and enjoy the community.

Here’s to a great 2025!

Well,

I attended my first PCF Meetup at @k9dr ’s Suicide Queen Melee’. Met a bunch of awesome people.

IMG_2010.jpeg

Acquired my first Paulson set, an RHC Rat Rod set. Adding to it is fun!

IMG_3760.jpeg

And to end the year, placed my first CPC order for a tournament set!

Here’s to 2025 and what it will bring!

Happy New Year to all!

Offline for most of H1, but hit it maaaybe a little too hard playing catch up in the 2nd half of ‘24.

Bought and traded a bunch of different card setups that’ll last me a good year + and will give me a chance to find the ‘one’ brand I love. Also learned that if you can’t see the face of a BOX of cards on eBay, maybe don’t buy them. #BlackjackindexGate

Got a bunch of cool stuff, including a chip stacker tool that I didn’t even know existed @Sparkynutz:

IMG_7821.jpeg

Got an amazing sample from @TheRealTeddyKGB of his Tiffany’s set. Also bought 2x Apache cases in anticipation of @Cratty Tangier's creation.

Realized that I have the PCF disease and need to avoid the classifieds. Got trigger happy and bought an entire IG set from AUSTRALIA last week from @Perthmike just so I could get an extra rack of IG $5s…

IMG_8706.png

Finished up label design for my mixed cash set, design by @tallsbutler, labels next year from @Gear

IMG_7808.jpeg

Finally today received my BBO Poker table, very happy:

Think lastly it’s a thank you to everyone in the community, and a shout out to @TheChipRoom - 90% of my cash set comes from your previous sales. Even though I’m a second or third hand buyer, very much appreciate the opportunity to be able to buy and customize real casino chips! I’m currently having a quiet one, and back to murdering chips. One chip at a time…

Happy New Year!

Found PCF back in July. One of the best worst decisions I've made, was registering. Gone a bit nuts in these first 6 months. Purchases totaling over 10,000 chips so far. Thanks to @Kiferfor his help getting my Isle Pompano set together. That is the biggest set I have so far (4965 chips). @inahelped me get started on my MS Ratrod Set. Still working on that one, and I fully expect that to take a while to complete, but it's getting there. Picked up a bunch of "Sunken Treasure" chips, Trop Aruba set, cali color SunFly blanks, Tina blanks, and a whole lot of singles.

2025 will start off with me building my pub sized table for my office. Relabeling some stuff, and we will just have to see what else happens. Mardi Gras is upon us, so that will keep me busy for the next 60+ days. Can't wait to see what else this year brings.

Happy New Year guys/gals. Hope it's a prosperous one for all of you.

Happy New Year PCF!

The Godfather Club appreciates you putting up with its, and its owner’s non-sense.

Just be thankful we can’t upload videos. My press releases are good stuff.

Be well.

Looking back I’m now realizing this was an especially big year for me, beginning with the sale of my beloved PCR set…

IMG_8547.jpeg

… because it fell out of use within six of completing my custom (murder) set in late 2023, which I tweaked a bit in 2024:

1735733825535.jpeg

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/hoyle-harvest-set.104408/page-3

Then I designed an unusual mushroom-foraging themed set, but ended up trading the H-mold blanks instead of finishing it…

1735734301098.jpeg

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/messing-with-inlay-label-designs.62342/post-2427513

… the trade being for a bunch of vintage St. Maarten Isle Casino chips, which I augmented with additional “tribute” chips on the same HHR mold, and which sent me down a rabbit hole of research about the sordid history of that Caribbean casino…

Lastly, I learned to use a Cricut machine to make small batches of labels and to create a few dealer buttons… and got an insane deal on some chairs for my room:

I joined PCF in 2023 when I was trying to build my table. I did that and kind of let the scene.

I came back in 2024 and this was my first year of hosting games. I started off with a set of majestics and somehow ended the year with a custom CPC set… this site is dangerous.

I’m going to limit myself to updating my table and chairs for next year  :ROFLMAO:
IMG_1163.jpeg

My PCF 2024:

After posting that I do not need any more cash sets, within 1 month I had purchased 2 more.

I actually sold a substantial amount of my cash and tourney CDI98 chips. And then I purchased a substantial amount of CDI98 cash (and some tournament) chips. So what does that tell you?

My 2025 PCF aspirations:

Topping off my Silver Tongued Devil LCrown CPC set while I see how the company sale or wind-down unfolds.

Finishing off the Limit portion of my CDI98 cash set - almost there, just 4 barrels of $1 short.

Designing felts for 1 (or 2) Chanman tables so I can host more charity fundraising events.

Happy new year !!

Well, 2024 has been my second full year at PCF and it was a wonderful journey.

It was a pleasure to participate at @cpac54 's great mini meetup in Swiss in january. So many nice people and awesome chipsets (Big Top and Ojibwas for example) made it very special.

PXL_20240126_224537967.jpg

After some singles and a few more racks of beautiful TRKs that I was able to combine a city trip to Stockholm and the Stockholm Syndrom II meetup... This meetup was a blast right from the start and in the end, meeting all these great people made it a real highlight of 2025. @Ainton @Freudeus and @Eriks did such a great job and it couldn't have been better.

After that I was able to find the missing pieces for my mixed TRK set and I think that it's comolete now. That was an awesome journey and I got to know great chippers during that time. Special thanks to @Okku who ignites the TRK fire in me (but my wallet hates you  :ROFLMAO:) and @Lil Tuna and @liftapint for sharing your TRK experiences with me and for all the personal pms. I really appreciate!

Without the fracs....

and including the fracs (family picture will follow in two weeks)
PXL_20241005_115520479.jpg

In the meantime I thought it would be time to build a new Poker table because the local PCF group has grown and since my old self build topper is very tiny... So after one week of fun and pain, I finally finished the project and I made a level up from this ....

PXL_20230617_131715660.jpg

... to this ...

PXL_20241214_145232124.jpg

Oh, and one week after the table was finished, a box from David was delivered. After almost 11 month after placing my order, my CPC customs finally arrived....
So that was the cherry on the cake ...
PXL_20241117_102810255.jpg

So, 2024 was an absolute blast and it couldn't have been better for me!

Let's see what surprises 2025 has in store ...

Kind of like Warren Buffet vis a vis the stock market, I reduced my poker chip positions significantly in 2024.

Realized given my lack of home game opportunities that even one set was pushing it, let alone two, I sold off my beloved PNY cash set last spring.

53203513794_f09d65913d_o.jpg

Kept my HSI set, but am considering putting it on the chopping block, too.

53203432173_5536ae81a7_o.jpg

However, I did enjoy a sweet long weekend in Vegas last August, played a mix of 1/3 and 2/5, mostly at Aria, but also at Bellagio, Wynn and the new Venetian. Luckily was mostly on my A game and ended up +$2.9k.

1723937609587-png.1374723

And enjoyed what is certainly the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had at Crack Shack (thanks @kmccormick100 for the hearty Shack endorsements in various Vegas threads!).

For 2025, chipwise, I may sell my HSI set and go all in guns blazing on a final boss CPC set. But probably not.

Poker wise, looks like I may be able to squeeze in another Vegas trip this April, fingers crossed!

Another psychotic year for me.

Decided to make custom 50mm metal bounty pucks. They are sick.

1735795403276.png

Decided that I liked my River Rat ceramic scrown hybrid chips enough to add onto the set and make it way larger than necessary. Yet it seems to be just right.

1735795619534.png

1735795587708.png

My big purchase was to expand my custom CPC NUTS chip set to make it meetup proof, plus an amazing custom box for storage. Decided that my first order were primaries, and this order were secondaries. Also added custom plaques and really nice All In chips.

IMG_9135.jpegIMG_9137.jpegIMG_9140.jpegIMG_9142.jpegIMG_9144.jpegIMG_9146.jpeg
IMG_9148.jpegIMG_9150.jpegIMG_9152.jpegIMG_9154.jpegIMG_9157.jpegIMG_9161.jpeg

Bought a ceramic web mold hybrid chip set. Turned out fantastic.

1735796201745.png

I ran a couple of dealer button and accessory chip group buys, plus a Matsui plaque rack group buy.

1735796391783.png

Oh yeah, I also added 130 dealer buttons to my collection. I may have a problem.

1735796479126.png

Yikes. That's enough. On to 2025!

Meet-ups! That’s what it’s all about. I have met so many great people through PCF that I’m happy to now call friends (not just poker buddies). Had a great PCF 2024 with several awesome meet-ups.

Started right away in January at @cpac54 /Conor’s Hoser hut in Zurich and the winter wonderland. Superbly organized with great PCFers and locals, some new and some old faces, unreal chips, great food and sweet games.

Going back for part II in a few weeks!

Then it was time for another part II, the Stockholm Syndrome, hosted by myself, @Ainton and @Freudeus

It was absolutely wonderful and exhausting :) (I’m sure other meet-up hosts can relate). Was able to welcome back every single one from part I, as well as plenty of new friends. They looked happy at least :). No part III planned for 2025 but I’m pretty sure it’ll happen sooner or later.

Then I headed to England and birthday boy @JP1984 /John’s poker on the island. Was honored to be included in this wonderful treat and very happy to finally meet John in person as well as the rest of the Brit crew. Again, some old and some new friends, all sweathearts. We had an absolute blast and I’m already looking forward to part II

Topped off with a little mini meet-up at @OfficerLovejoy /Angelo’s place, one night in Cologne part II (part I). Always a pleasure hanging out with Angelo and the Cologne PCF crew as well as everyone’s favorite Belgian @Thomacetti Thanks for having me again, Angelo!

What about chips? Well, not actively pursuing anything anymore. But the recent CPC news finally made me pull the trigger on ordering a 25-chip for my Carmel set, replacing the 20 that I’m never been able to get used to playing with.

IMG_2524.png

Also happened to stumble over an @ekricket ad for a nice fantasy Chipco set. Pretty much the only kind of set I haven’t owned yet, so naturally I couldn’t help myself.

That’s it, happy new chipping year everyone! Looking forward to what looks to be an even greater meet-up year 2025!

Nice setup! Looks like a fun group.

(I don't realize how bad my camera is until I post all my pictures, I'm awful at this)

In 2023 I posted this picture and said "hey, this is great, this is all I need! Limit, cash, and tournament!" And then 2024 happened. Dumb.

20230408_123250.jpg

Was a great year. Hosted my charity tournament and raised $700+ for Type 1 diabetes research and filled out two tables, fantastic time. Also helped run tournaments for a few local chippers which felt good! My biggest losses this year were to chippers so I'm thankful I was able to donate when it mattered.

Ran hot and paid for my limit set, tourney addons, and Flamingo set playing poker, 60%+ ROI for my buyins this year. Could've played better and its a relatively low sample size (23 sessions) but content that my hobby is paying for itself when I'm stuck on a student stipend.

These were really cheap and beatup but feel great once I ultrasonic'd/relabeled them.

Also started a Poker Mavens online to play with friends/family, great software.

Nothing world shattering, but a definite upgrade. Now I've got 4 sets: Ice Cardroom no molds (will be used for 5c/10c-25c/50c), EPT China knockoff tourney (up to 32 players), cheap Flamingo relabels (25c/50c-$1/3), and Chipco limit set ($25s used as quarters for 50c/$1 or similar). Very happy with it. Not going to say "I'm done" like last year, but happy! I ran a few games that ran big so I'm glad I upgraded in time. Upgraded the Barrington cupholders as well, and bought a gift set for my cousin's wedding.

Big thanks to @Gorbash , @Josh Kifer , @GreekRedEye , and others who helped me this year, I'm grateful.

Yes sir!!!! You can buy it in the Wasa Museum in Stockholm :cool unfortunately it wasn't available in their online shop if I remember it right... @CraigT78 was very proud of his huge Cannon  :ROFLMAO:

And btw: nice set! I love the T100.000 !!!!

Even that it's not a cannon: this Hammer from the gods is protecting your cards very nicely as well... Not to forget it shows that you're the Boss and that you have a huuuge ... chipstack (f.e.) :ROFLMAO:

My local casino actually banned a player who was warned not to stack his chips in a manner suggestive of a certain part of the male anatomy.

Most part of 2024 was quiet for me but I was glad to finish my 8-handed IG set.
Until CPC announced they would eventually close business. I've then ordered a last cash set.
I've also ordered a small tournament set made by SunFly. Pics will be coming soon and extended my SunFly cash set to make it 1000 chips & 20 plaques.
I hope now to be able to enjoy these sets in 2025 !
