Prove it!...I brought PS chips to a game last week...
Honestly I question their taste if they didn't notice a difference between dice chips and CCs....I have sets of Bud Jones (v7), Matsui and a sample sets of Abbiati and Bud Jones (v2).
The BJ v7s are hands-down the winners. I actually prefer the PS chips over the rest of the Star line - and that is saying a lot.
I brought PS chips to a game last week - a game where they were happy to play with dice chips, and didn't notice a difference between China Clay and the dice chips. They LOVED the Pac Stars. Absolutely loved them, to the point I had to take a full count at the end of the night for fear of losing "samples".
When the average Joe sees a difference, it says something about the chip.
Prove it!
Sadly, one of the first features they mentioned was the "heft".Honestly I question their taste if they didn't notice a difference between dice chips and CCs....
From personal experience with people who don't know anything about poker chips. They don't care about feel or texture as much as they like shiny colors. I had my PNY set at a tournament a few weeks back. A friend of mine had just gotten a bird cage full of dice chips off eBay. Not sure what brand they were but they had shiny holographic looking labels. Everyone there liked those better than my PNYs. To the point they asked me "why don't you have any good looking chips like these" I was beside myself...
There really aren't many options out there for mint/unplayed/uncirculated Paulsons, except for the ones you mentioned.
Oh I totally get it. It’s definitely a curse to take live pics. but I would make an exception for these.Sadly, I am no longer taking pics while in a game. I have found my win % has dropped dramatically when I take a pic.
Superstitious, yes. But until I start winning again, you'll have to live with non-live shots.

Simple. Just wait until *after* you bust out to take action pics. Problem solved.Sadly, I am no longer taking pics while in a game. I have found my win % has dropped dramatically when I take a pic.

is OP worried someone will buy somebody else’s 350% marked up chips instead of his?
I actually verbally said "ooooooohhhhh" when I read this. Good one!is OP worried someone will buy somebody else’s 350% marked up chips instead of his?
A little light on $5s, wouldn’t you say?Sadly, I am no longer taking pics while in a game. I have found my win % has dropped dramatically when I take a pic.

Using ballpark average cost, $2.50 ea. to $6.50 ea. is a markup of 160%.
I just ran the calculations. At $20 a chip, I would think a moment before declining to sell my set at that price. There is no reasonable upper limit on the price. It is only limited by what the deepest pocket buyer is willing to pay - - - so maybe $20 - $30 per chip?
Well, at least the boat buy wasn’t driven by profit motive....is OP worried someone will buy somebody else’s 350% marked up chips instead of his?
If it was, there would have been a lot more chips...Well, at least the boat buy wasn’t driven by profit motive....

...and this means, What?It doesn't matter what is being talked about. What we know for sure that on PCF all roads lead to boats![]()

It means exactly what I said. Regardless of the topic being discussed the conversation will inevitably swing back to discussing the boats.
It actually started with boat talk and went to the SB chips and profits. Now it goes back to boat chips so I raise you an SB chip!It means exactly what I said. Regardless of the topic being discussed the conversation will inevitably swing back to discussing the boats.
