Today we talk about another early early casino that was located in downtown Las Vegas. It's the Sal Sagev, which is Las Vegas spelled backwards. It was open from 1931-1934 and originally was opened as the Hotel Nevada back in 1906. It was a two story 35 room corner building which cost $1 to stay in one of the 10 x 10 foot rooms that were completed with electric lighting and steam radiators. Inside of the lobby there was a cigar store and the recipient of Vegas' first telephone service in 1907. Ironically the phone number was 1, being the first! It is today's Golden Gate Casino. Opened by Abe Miller this place has an unknown history, but it's something that most people do not know about. There are roulette chips out there and apparently a second set of chips with denominations on them which have yet to be found. Hope you enjoy!

Good morning everyone! Hope you have all been well and getting excited for the convention this week. I've been busy and have not had time to make videos but finally found some time. Today I'm talking about the story behind the chips that were originally going to be used at the Kings Crown in Las Vegas, but never did and then were used at Sharkey's in Gardnerville. It's an interesting thing I didn't know about until maybe a month ago when somebody showed me a picture and it finally clicked in my head. So Kings Crown wasn't able to get their gaming license in 1965-6 so the chips were manufactured but never went into play. They were all uncirculated so Sharkey's had a great idea to buy those chips to be used at their casino. When they opened up in 1971 they were saving time and money. They went ahead and used the previous Kings Crown chips as roulette chips, in my understanding, which they just put their own labels over the Kings Crown labels. Later they would use the same chips and made $1, $5 and $25 labels to go over the original labels. People would notice this once everyone started collecting them and it's almost like a hidden secret in my opinion which is pretty sweet.

Thanks to @joker80 and @Seeking Alpha Social Club and anyone else that was in the original thread talking about these which I found very interesting and helped my mind make the connection between the two!

Here's the video if you'd like to learn a little more and see side by side pictures!

Has anyone seen the prices of some of these singles chips recently!?!? They've been insane, prices that we haven't seen in a while! Mainly TRKs and some of the more rare Paulsons are selling for 2x or even up to 3x what they used to sell for about a year ago, what is causing this? I believe the built up hype of not being able to get these chips and now that they are popping up more and more people want them. Plus, you can't forget about the newer people that are getting into the hobby. They want all the good stuff that everyone else wants sooooo prices are going to go up! In today's video, I show you guys what's been happening on eBay across the collector chip market and show what chips have brought some crazy money in the past few weeks! Hope you have an amazing day and enjoy!

Today we talk about how my experience at the CCA Chip Show Convention has been so far with Day 1 & 2 out of the way. It's been so much fun and super awesome having the chance to meet everyone that watches the videos, help you guys out, and just chat. It's my first time ever getting to go so I've really been enjoying it and will make sure that this isn't the last time I go that's for sure! Should be making a little video today if I get the chance to walk around and see what everyone has available and show what's been happening for those that weren't able to make it out!

Here's the link enjoy:

Today I show you guys around the CCA Chip Show Convention at the South Point and what was happening on Day 3. Showing a majority of the booths, what kinds of items you are able to find there, goodies, awesome people and what kind of awesome environment there is. I had so much fun attending my first show and it was such an honor to meet everyone who watches the videos. You guys are awesome and keep me pushing harder and harder. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart, so grateful to be apart of such an amazing and one of a kind community. This will definitely not be last show and I'll continue going to these year after year.

Also just wanted to say it was so much fun meeting @Ben8257 @FordPickup92 @RichMahogany @kmccormick100 @AfterTheFact @Windwalker @41Pickup also seeing @ADS Aviator @Chipton . Everyone who I got to meet and got the chance to chat with it was so much fun and I enjoyed every single day! If I forgot you, don't worry I will remember your face no matter what.

Here's my day 3 walk around recap video, next video will be showing what I picked up at the show:

Nice vid! Ended up meeting @cpiaaq while he was talking to High Stakes Gambler from eBay. Don’t recall his (HSG) name but he’s aware of the forum and checks in now and again. He asked my screen name and mentioned that he knows the name, probably because I always mention that people that pay his prices on eBay are idiots :)

He was very nice however and a pleasure to talk to
