Before the game, I read a news story about a man in Miami being convicted on Wednesday of publicly satisfying himself with a vacuum cleaner outside Disney World. It was still a better idea than the one Tuchel launched here.

Time for Tuchel to learn MLS!

I was rooting a bit more for England, but I am happy with the final. ESP vs ENG would have felt like "can England cause an upset?", whereas ESP vs ARG feels a lot more interesting. For me, at least.
It’s gonna be a good match between the two best teams and I don’t have anything in particular against Argentina, but there’s no underdog to root for. Plus Argentina won it last time and Spain not too long ago.

I don't like [...] Messi
I absolutely love watching Messi play. So much talent in so many aspects of the game, AND he never (or rarely? Haven't seen every game) dives. There are so many clips of him being manhandled by defenders and just keeps fighting. Most players (and definitely Ronaldo) just falls on first impact. Even in this game vs England there was a highligt real worthy instance of him staying on his feet.

My guess is the hate stems from other things than his footballs skills?

I’m not talking about his talent — I’m talking about the person, whom I don’t appreciate, and about Argentina’s general mentality and attitude. It’s similar to Paraguay: a team that’s strong because of their drive and character, but not the most technical one, except for Messi. I think Spain can win, and I hope they do.

Damn it, I’m more excited to watch the bronze match than the final now.

At least @BonScot is happy

I honestly don’t get the point of the third place game. It must be a pain for the players to have to play.

A match between 2 countries that hate each other that neither side wants any part of.

It could get hilariously ugly. Alas, we'll be playing poker during it.

the hate stems from racism and blatant propaganda that these all these casuals who only watch football every four years just eat up. Or maybe they are hardcore Ronaldo fans.

Cool story bro. Messi and the entire team are going to be super bummed you don't appreciate them 😢

“Some people in Argentina don’t like the French national team, and there has been controversy involving Argentina and Paraguay during the World Cup.”

Lots of prejudices there, about like, people’s prejudices. Can’t one dislike just one Argentinian or is it all or none? (I like him btw)

There will always be haters. Like someone said here, it comes with the territory. But there will also always be 46 million Argentines ready to stand up for Messi and this team, no matter what.

Honestly, I don’t understand how anyone who truly loves football can’t enjoy watching Messi play or at least have enormous respect for him, even if they’re a Real Madrid fan.

Is it the most scandalous world cup ever already?!
Definitaly yes - and it‘s not over yet…

Let alone $8.50 for a bottle of water.
WTF?!

Atlanta food and drinks were super cheap. There were actually lines at the concessions. Amazing stadium

People just aren't rational, too emotional. It's the same reason there is an entire Jordan vs Lebron debate. People love to argue and try to prove they are 'right' somehow.

I'm one of those people who sees all the generational athletes in all sports we've seen over the last 25 years and just feels lucky and excited to watch the best of the best.

And yes, they are one of the better stadiums, I'm praying things will shift soon enough and corps start realizing that it is actually a good thing to treat your customers right. $8 USD for a small beer is still pretty ridiculous though, insane that they are considered good pricing lol
