Compass Box does annual tastings of all their offerings at the National Press Club restaurant in Washington, DC. Not public, but my wife was a member. Sigh. Just one of the many things we miss out on by retiring down here in FL...
And it comes with a game molded into every bottle:@Brad1316 turned me into Green River!
Their Rye is excellent. This is the first time I have had their full proof.

It came out to be $72 after tax, should be ready for pickup in the next couple of weeks.
Have you ever noticed those sample bottles tainting the whiskey at all? I’ve found I can only keep samples in those bottles for a short bit before they start negatively influencing the whiskey. I’ve heard others say this too. Something about that specific cap/ liner.Last of my C923…remnants of a legend!View attachment 1693946
If by taint you mean rapid oxidation, I've found the ones I have in 1oz or smaller seem to hold up well in the boston rounds. Sometimes the 2oz w/ polycone don't seal the best.Have you ever noticed those sample bottles tainting the whiskey at all? The best for longer term storage has been the Liquid Ministry bottles, their polycones have a wider lip and an extra ring for the cap, so they can really be cranked down tight.
I still have one open and one bunkered. The temptation is always strong to just drink it.Last of my C923…remnants of a legend!
I haven't decided on picking up the '26 ones yet. I liked '25 Bombergers quite a bit but the '25 Shenks was only okay for the price.
Let us know if you your selling the bottle lol
