Damn. I got an alert this week from one of the online retailers here that it was back in stock... they want over 600 Euros for a bottle!About $200

What I’ve heard as well. Have yet to try mine.this new willet 4 year gets horrible reviews...people are saying they shouldnt have put the purple top on it to mislead buyers.
47.99 around me… maybe $50I don't even want to know what a 4yo purple top is going for!
The one I have is OK, definitely drinks a little hot & unrefined. But again we're talking about a $60 bottle vs a $300-$500+ bottle.....this new willet 4 year gets horrible reviews...people are saying they shouldnt have put the purple top on it to mislead buyers.
How does it compare to their other sub $60 bottles like Noah's Mill and Rowan's Creek? The one I have is OK, definitely drinks a little hot & unrefined. But again we're talking about a $60 bottle vs a $300-$500+ bottle.....
Visited a little central Texas Whiskey maker on my way home from Austin yesterday. I can't say distiller, cuz they buy MGP juice, then age and bottle it onsite.
I tasted the 6 different bottles they had (plus one that was no longer available) and settled on these two cask strength bottles. Pretty tasty stuff. About 6-7 years aged in a hot Texas Rickhouse, and very resonable $50-60 a bottle. I may go back in about a week and a half when they release a 10 year Rye. This one is only 51% rye. The 10 year is 100% rye.

For me it's 8>10>9 but they're all good.
8>10>9
I agree. 9 is good but 10 is better.
I only have notes on the 8 and drank the 10 at the Philly meetup half hammered, so I unfortunately don't remember much beyond it was good but as good as the 8.Finally had the chance to open a bottle of the Sagamore 10 last night... Just too many bottles in the queue so it took me a while.
Good nose and good palate but, I was shocked by how short the finish was. I don't remember other Sagamore bottles I had having that short of a finish. It was bit of a bummer for me as the finish is my favorite part of the sip, what lingers...
Is my palate broken? Did you guys feel the same or you were happy with the finish? If you still have some, whenever, tried it again just confirmed I lost my mind, lol!
But to add, the finish on the 8 year is forever, spicy drying rye and oak. I only have a pour or two left from my last bottle of batch 1AI don't remember other Sagamore bottles I had having that short of a finish. It was bit of a bummer for me as the finish is my favorite part of the sip, what lingers...
Yeah I quoted myself. They dropped the price another $10 and inventory is about six bottles lower than this picture. I've always thought the square bottle woodfords were all overpriced..97 at costco on the end of the price means some sort of clearance or discount ... and they still just sit there lol
