I've been on the fence on these...expensive.

They are, it was a drunk purchase lol. The 9 year was good, not great. The 15 year was awesome:

Ass Pocket Whiskey - 15 year Batch 3A

Nose: super sweet! Vanilla, syrupy honeydew mellon, and some honey roasted peanuts and leather. Gorgeous.

Palate: palate follows the nose, creamy vanilla-orange, sweet oak and leather, followed by some spicy baking spices. Decent mouthfeel coats the palate, I just wish there was a tad more proof.

Finish: medium in length, lingering custard with sweet & spicy oak and leather.

As with some other higher aged bottles, this was fantastic but I wish it was bottled in the 116-122 proof range.

These arrived today - Michter's 10 is especially hard to find over here, so I feel fortunate to have lucked out when it got re-stocked at an online store recently. If I wasn't sick, I'd have already cracked one of these open.

Newest submission to the TTB…

Supposedly a limited release set to drop early 2026. I’m hopeful that it’s not ridiculously priced like their other Committee releases over the past few years. Should be a winner if they can competitively price it in line with the Laphroaig 10 CS which is $85 around here.
