Well, since I already opened one bottle tonight, a second won't hurt. The was a ,, throw in" bottle coupled with a Stagg Jr pack. Really, really interesting, it's not often I get strawberry notes in a whiskey, and this also has chocolate too! Very drinkable too.

Totally agree, believe me this isn't a crime like never felting a chip set. I have 100+ open bottles and have been trying to focus on killing more old bottles before opening new ones. But when it comes to whiskey, I definitely succumb to shiny object syndrome.....

The struggle is real…very real here. My modest collection of 100+ bottles has been drastically reduced since October. Not only have I sold off quite a few of my most desirable bottles, I’ve also given a good number of opened bottles to friends that frequent my cash game. And yes…I’ve killed a few of my opened remnants along the way with the occasional pickup joining the team.

I am now at my self imposed limit of 50 total bottles…with about half of them opened. Mrs Baroo is watching me like a hawk to make sure I stick to the plan. She is definitely aware of my shiny object syndrome :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I just picked up a bottle of C923 A22330338.

I had a sample of A22331728 that I threw in a blind against Jacob’s well b1, Japanese 2019 128.5p blantons STFB, GTS 23, spec’s JT Meleck pick, James pepper decanter.

Went SFTB, edging out C923 by a fraction of a percentage > Jacob’s well > gts >>> Meleck >>>>>>>> pepper

I’ve been real hesitant to open my c923 (but who am I kidding, I’ll probably crack it this weekend lol). I’ve had one other c923 sample (of unknown laser code) that was super disappointing…will have to track down an a23 code.

I get a big kick whenever I hear cam utter “Dan” - I rewinded to make sure it was pink dan haha

Haha! Yeah man, Cam is a freak, I couldn’t imagine guessing two blinds that specifically.

Def open the c923, even the A22 is awesome. Or you could try and trade up for the A23

Really good, classic sweet bourbon flavors (oak/vanilla/honey/burnt sugar) with some spicy edgy notes, very full flavor profile. And I paid like $16 for this when it first came, at that price I wish I had bought a case.
