Since starting this journey relatively recently, I’ve been in much more of an acquiring phase than a consuming phase as of late. Nothing spectacular…just trying to find and procure some of the common $60-80 level greatest hits of the thread.

Here’s my issue! And I admit it is indeed a first world problem!!

As I’ve done so, I realize I want to start sharing some acquisitions and nightly pour picks but what I currently drink out of is an utter embarrassment! Let’s call it an oversized shot glass. But the glassware I’d like to buy would make my wife puke (2 glasses for ~$100 shipped).

If you’re still reading, this is where you come in.

Help me get to my ~$40-50 glasses! Just like I’ve convinced my wife on Paulson Leaded Chips…help me convince her on a pair of nice bourbon glasses. Serious ideas or crazy - all are allowed. But if you actually are the reason she decides to say yes I’ll send ya something random in appreciation!!

I’m not a huge fan of standard Glencairn glasses because of the ease of being knocked over. I’m a klutz. I’ve got two boys who aren’t very careful around me, etc.


These actually look promising given the shape! Like I said, it’s a sturdy standing glass (that isn’t a rocks shape) I’m after more than any particular one!!

I have these and love them. It's all about the experience, and for me, these glasses enhance my drinking experience. They do everything a glen cairn does but better. They're very sturdy and won't tip like a glen cairn, they feel great in the hand (heavy/substantial and fits the hand perfectly) and are elegantly crafted.

Mattinglys are very controversial I’ve had a few are they’re okay. I think they drink below their price tag. Or I prob overpaid as I do with everything

For sure I definitely agree with you. I’ve had some Mattingly that wasn’t the greatest. The bottle I picked up was one a buddy made together with them so I’m more so excited for him. Plus the bottle looks dope! Lol

Also got this one kinda recently but haven’t opened it up yet. Sounds tasty tho.

Those are very cool. I have seen others here post that they are a favorite. At that price, I might buy one for myself, but not sure I'd trust them with the usual degens that I hang around with. Glencairns, or my other even cheaper Luxbe Amazon glasses are plenty good enough for my guests.

Ended up getting a night out at the new whiskey bar in town. I went a completely different direction when I got there as they offered some flights and found one that looked super solid. Felt like I was getting 3 for the price of 2 at $33 for the flight. What was really cool is they brought the flight out with this QR code that gave you all of the information you wanted and was just so well done. I included it below.

@Saoliver Totally didn't realize the Juke Joint is made here in Memphis until I saw they had an all Memphis flight. Gonna have to find some of these bottles now. Thanks for the recommendations.

If my wife ever cleans out the guest room closet, I’m fuct. There are shelves of booze hidden behind strategically placed blocker items. And more boxes stacked on the floor.

Hell, I’ve got at least a dozen or so of my MWND vertical from Act 7 to Act 10 squirreled away somewhere in there too.
