Tried Stagg jr b17 vs the jefferson's... the b17 reminded me why it's one of my favorites (also my first stagg!) - the Jefferson's is no sleeper tho, it has a bit more astringency, but the sweet bright red fruit stands out. Great for a limited release "shelfer"

Jefferson’s is hit or miss with me. I’ve tried a bunch of different expressions. Some were pretty good but most were a miss. The first ocean I tried was really good. I think it was 2016?2017? But haven’t had a good one since.
The only Jeffersons that are consistently good, but not worth their price are the Jeffersons Presidential Selects. It’s similar to Elijah Craig for me. Lots of cherry. It’s probably HH distillate.

Having a nice family dinner in tonight! Getting up early to drive to Norfolk tomorrow and get on a cruise to Bermuda to celebrate our 25th anniversary a little early (it’s not til October) but the timing is right to do this now.
Got the grill nice and hot. We’re ready to burn!
Can’t remember what I paid but went for this three times this week. Really enjoying it.
