EDIT: Nuked as the crickets were just too loud! I've changed up on a few things so will likely repost with those details soon and hopefully get a few 2 cents on the new one. Can a mod. lock this thread please?

I want to try out a T100 tournament, but I'm not sure what a good starting stack would be. 9 players, but it wouldn't hurt if 10 could be supported. No rebuys for this first round, but would eventually like a breakdown that can support them.

It feels like 10K is a perfect number, but is 50 BB enough? Should I try to juice it up to 20K?

Looking for something around 3.5 to 4 hours without breaks.

I have 2 chip sets available for use on a breakdown. Both are junk dicers as I'm going to be demoing some nice chips soon and looking to upgrade. Please don't judge!

Chip set A:
200 white
140 red
100 blue
100 green
60 black

Chip set B:
80 white
80 red
80 blue
80 green
80 black

I've heard for a 20K this is good breakdown: 10/8/10/1, T100/T500/T1000/T5000. If doing a 10K, do you just drop 5 of the T1000s and the T5000, so 10/8/5?

Some context may be helpful...a social game, small buy-in, lots of newbies, cocktails. I would like people to have a decent amount of chips at the start...just feels cooler!

Also, breaks - how often do you have them, and how long are they? Also, when do you color up and what chips do you remove?

For a blind structure, I want something like these....
10K:
1. [+0:00] -- 100 / 200
2. [+0:20] -- 200 / 400
3. [+0:40] -- 300 / 600
4. [+1:00] -- 400 / 800
5. [+1:20] -- 500 / 1000
6. [+1:40] -- 600 / 1200
7. [+2:00] -- 700 / 1400
8. [+2:20] -- 800 / 1600
9. [+2:40] -- 1000 / 2000
10. [+3:00] -- 1500 / 3000
11. [+3:20] -- 2000 / 4000
12. [+3:40] -- 3000 / 6000
13. [+4:00] -- 4000 / 8000
14. [+4:20] -- 5000 / 10000
15. [+4:40] -- 6000 / 12000
16. [+5:00] -- 7000 / 14000

20K:
1. [+0:00] -- 100 / 200
2. [+0:20] -- 200 / 400
3. [+0:40] -- 300 / 600
4. [+1:00] -- 400 / 800
5. [+1:20] -- 500 / 1000
6. [+1:40] -- 600 / 1200
7. [+2:00] -- 800 / 1600
8. [+2:20] -- 1000 / 2000
9. [+2:40] -- 1500 / 3000
10. [+3:00] -- 2000 / 4000
11. [+3:20] -- 3000 / 6000
12. [+3:40] -- 5000 / 10000
13. [+4:00] -- 6000 / 12000
14. [+4:20] -- 10000 / 20000
15. [+4:40] -- 15000 / 30000
16. [+5:00] -- 20000 / 40000

Thank you for any input into breakdowns etc. in the tournament! :)
