Not really impressed with tournament director software. Any interest in this? (3 Viewers)

You could always do an account for a public "league" log in so they can all be in control, not sure I understand the distinction between sharing it the other way where everyone had full access versus having them log in to a common central account where they have the same access, plus this new one seems more stable. The "shared" ones before worked 95% of the times, but I did have some drops for unknown reasons.

I don't think he has added all the voices yet, assuming you are talking about having it talk in different accents, etc. I'm sure that is on the list but he just got the actual alerts into this version so may not have gotten to that point yet. You can change what she says for the knockout or even record or add your own mp3 if you wanted something different.
 
Agree. If the login for everyone is more stable, that is better. I just don’t like others logging into “my account” but would get over it if that works best.

I will be adding the ability to give specific people read/write access to a tournament (via the email address associated with the Poker Club HQ account). I also already store with each log entry the account that made the change, so you'll have history of all changes and who made them. Currently player log entries support undo/redo, but I'll also be adding the ability to edit them, for example, change the buy-in amount, or number of chips, or add or remove a player from the log entry, or even the change time the log entry happened.
 
I have found almost zero poker BLIND CLOCK apps on my Apple TV. Was someone here suggesting one? Seemed like Apple TV limits the apps based on its io.

I will be adding the ability to set the voice a TTS alert uses. It's a little more complicated now that the app supports Android and the web in addition to iOS. They all have different voice options, and on the web different browsers and operating systems (Mac, Windows, etc.) have different voices too. I'm still working on the best way to handle this...

You don’t use a native poker blind clock but you use a clock on your phone or iPad and then mirror it to the Apple TV. Poker timer works great for this. I assume the HQ one would too. I just usually keep it on the iPads though so I don’t have to worry about screen burn in on the TV. If you are using an old crusty TV you don’t care about, then that is not an issue.

Here is the main question that I have for you. What is the best way to "mirror" my timer to multiple devices? I think for many of us, we would like to control the tournament from one device, for me that is my phone, and then have any other devices in the room simply show that. Having that QR code to scan is great, but my display devices are typically in fixed positions around the room without a camera available to utilize it. So, for all of my devices, I was not using the app, instead was using a browser on them to go to pokerclubhq.com, and login. I think this is what caused all of the links? Do you advise using the app instead?

I just downloaded the app to my Moto G Stylus. It keeps crashing. Probably because of all of the links? Also, I tried to download the app to my Fire tablets. I attempted this through the playstore that you have to side load onto Fire tablets. When I search for Polker Club HQ on them, it does not get returned in the search results. So, I think for me, I would have to use the web version. If you could let me know the best suggested way to use multiple devices, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

The best way to "mirror" the timer to multiple devices so they can see live updates to the timer screen, but not make changes to the tournament, is to use the QR Code. If you turn on the QR Code on your main device, and then tap it, it will put a copy of the URL on your clipboard, which you can then text, email, etc. to other devices that don't have a camera for reading the QR code. Then you can turn the QR Code off on your main device, no need to leave it on. The URLs are a permanent connection to that specific tournament.

I'm still not sure how you got all the copies of that one link in your account. I did some testing, the if the already exists in an account it isn't added again. If anyone else sees this issue and can let how to reproduce it, I'll fix it.

Just to be clear, you don't need keep the app open or even running on the device you set up the tournament from. The tournament lives in the cloud, and continues to run and update on all connected devices. You can just open the app to make changes as needed, record knockouts, balance tables, etc..

Does this mean that if I lose power for a few seconds (somewhat common in a rural area) when the clock comes back up it will still be accurate and we won't need to pause while I run around rebooting every device?
