Hello,

I'm starting a new tournament set project, so i'm here to collect some advices from regulars

I would like a set for 10 - 20 people, with a strating stack at 10K or 20K

About the chips, I would like something with flashy colors

I'm interested by all advices : for the size of the set, pics of personnal set ....

Thanks for reading my post

Greats,

Fabrice

I would like to add something about my budget :

At the moment, i haven't limit budget,

It is not wrong to dream a bit ;)

Good morning,

I have 2 recommendations:

1. I would go with a custom CPC set. For what good high end tournament chips are going for, you can get a custom set that is EXACTLY what you want. You will LOVE them!!

2. Pay up for a WTHC set. Not cheap, but you will not be dissapointed.

If you settle for an average set that doen't make you happy, you will spend a TON of money until you finally settle on #1 or #2 above. Yes...I speak from experience (as evidenced by the bottom pic):D

Good luck!!

#1 Custom 44mm CPCs:

#2 WTHCs:

Cost to get to #1 and #2 above:eek::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Thanks you a lot for your help

It's definitely the kind of advices i'm looking for

I think, i 'll have a good work of search, I need to preview all types of chips
The gallery 'll be my friend during few days ;)
But you're right, a custom set could be my best option,

You got a beautifful, massive collection, have you ever played with all of them ?

Thanks !

Thank you! I host a game every Friday, so we have played with most of them, but not all of them. My TR King Deadwoods and Rounders are in mint/excellent condition and are owned as collectors. Half of my Aces Casinos are also mint, and collectors. Other than that, the rest get put into play regularly.

I REALLY think you will be happy going the custom CPC route early on. I and most of my poker friends like the 44mm CPCs more than nearly all of the other sets.

I literally kept purchasing sets because I was not 100% satisfied. I FINALLY decided to order custom CPCs last year and, once they arrived, I realized that I could have saved $1000s if I would have started there in the first place.

Good luck and enjoy the journey!!(y)

You don’t need to break the bank, but it depends on what you’re looking for. This is my tournament set for 10-20 players, 10k-20k stacks. BCC fun nites - real clay, bright colors, less than a buck a chip.
Depends on what you’re looking for.

If you are considering custom, there are some great resources on PCF.

A good place to start is the 'Gone but not forgotten' thread. Loads of excellent custom sets here:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...en-pr0n-now-with-pr0n-of-over-200-sets.13031/

There are more great sets in the galleries thread:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/forums/poker-chip-pron.36/

Also, there's the resources area, which includes the 'Hall of fame' (HOF) sets:

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/resources/

The HOF are sets that are broadly felt to be great custom chip sets, so could be a useful source of inspiration.

This year's HOF nominations should be kicking off soon, so keep an eye out for that. There have been some excellent sets created in the last couple of years, which should be up for debate and community vote shortly...

Have fun with creating or building your set! :)

Have you written a book or something? I have poured over about 5 years of your responses to threads to decide on my tournament set breakdown and blind structure.

Side note, I went with something close to what you said once said was what most of your multi purpose tournament sets look like. Tweaked it a little based off the breakdown of a used set I got and am adding onto
