The purpose of all tournament structures is exactly the same: the goal is to advance blinds in such a manner that it puts pressure on players to force action that results in eliminations to determine a winner within a defined time period.
Whether that time period is 5 days or 5 hours doesn't really matter... it's simply a matter of math to create smooth level increases across the desired duration.
There's really no right or wrong when it comes to starting stacks or base chip selection... it's mainly about working out your structure to have smooth and relatively even & consistent level jumps.
Correct, there is much more room for error or inadequacies in blind structure design decisions -- although the starting stack size selected can sometimes actually drive those inferior choices.
For a good example, check out my post from this morning in the "T100-Base or T500-Base?" thread, which is also pertinent to T25-base and T5-base structures. Everything is not always equal as it initially seems, and relatively small details can occasionally make a significant difference.
Didn’t mean for my comment to come across badly, though I see why you thought so. I just know a lot of people recommend 200BB stacks and yours was 140 chopped to 70 in one level, which is unusual by PCF standards.
