New Plastic Cards on the Market Thread (1 Viewer)

All poker jumbo from what I can gather

Just bought a new set of KEM's straight off the website. I am slightly disappointed. Spent a little more to get the plastic box. While the cards are nice, I am used to the more bold and legible print of my Copags. The feel is nice, but I am not surprised they warp over time.

I found Denexa cards a couple weeks ago. Not sure what to think of these. They have bridge (standard+jumbo) and poker (standard).

Shipping to Canada is ridiculous ($49 for 1 setup). There is free shipping within the US for orders of $50+
Damn. Anyone have any hands-on experience with these yet? I actually really like the design of these and I'm wondering how well they actually play. One thing I feel we need more of is standard index cards with bold font, I feel that Copag is the only good option for this that I can find.

Took one for the team on this as I really loved the design. Purchased a bridge size setup.

Don't think many here would like them. They look nice and the thickness and shuffle feels very nicely median. However, the caveat is that the texture is very dry and chalky and so the cards don't spread well (deapite scooping fairly well) and make a very unattractive scratchy sound when you spread your whole cards for a peek.

I just saw a German seller on eBay with Modiano platinum jumbos - I think theyre about $39 shipped to USA - steep, but if you’re desperate hit eBay

I get get them cheaper but unfortunatly if as separate decks without plastic case

I was shopping around last week and swore they had a cheaper shipping option for up to 6 setups. I don't see that option any more.
Looks like Kardwell has a cheap shipping option again.

Is it worth it, though? I ordered a setup from them over a month ago, got a confirmation number... and then nothing. Emailed them twice last week to politely ask for at least an update. Nothing. Start digging around here and find that apparently they have a reputation for this. Now I may have to ask what other people have done in this situation.

Haven’t tried them. I’ve been getting emails from them for a long time. They’ve had them on there as long as I can remember. These seem to be sold exclusively by them, but I have no idea as to their quality.
Screw it, I'll gamble.

If they suck, JIJ and PHL attendees are going to have a lot of pot splashers!

if they what I think they are ( judging by jokers design) I would pass
It is what it is. Worse comes to worse, my kids love playing cards with Dad. They would be good for them to crimp and ruin while I put out the good stuff for games.

I have seen similar looking packaging designs from China shopping sites.
Those from the pokerstore might be OEMs so unless you can purchase a deck or 2 to try, I would not gamble buying the whole lot.

They look the same to me. My only hope is that the King Australia cards have a similar design on their tuck boxes and that they're made by the same printing house. I like their stock lots!

I hope so.

I hope so :) By the way, the ones from China are averaged price at US$0.90 per deck (before shipping) so you can judge of the quality.

Has anyone tried these yet?

They look new but don't want to spend the money to find out.
Got these in today. They're not terrible for $5/deck. Back art is nice too. But they're stiff. Card backs have a nice textured feel to them and the faces a nice flat feel. They shuffle and pitch well. Stiff like Faded Spades though. I actually prefer these $5 decks to the 3.0 Faded Spades. They don't bow after 5 minutes of shuffling them.

The only thing that tilts me is that the aces have a cream colored box, the other cards don't.

1. Do you know this brand of cards? They are used in the Agua Caliente casino apparently.
2. Have you ever tried Queen Cards??
