Hello Everyone – been a long time lurker here (more and more recently) but finally decided to jump in and start posting. I’ve got some questions that I look forward to getting help from this forum, but I hope I can offer some helpful advice myself.
Quick background…
PAULSON $1 CHIPS
I’m a big fan of Paulson poker chips. So much so that I’ve made a hobby of collecting $1 White Paulson chips from casinos/card rooms/cruises/etc from around the United States. Truth be told, not just collect - as I can’t imagine collecting poker chips only to have them sit in a folder or case. I actually “collect” them to use in my home cash games. Everyone loves it. Here they are:
I’ve done a ton of research in building a database of all the US $1 White Paulson chips. My list includes all design variations, but I’ve excluded UV and ShortCane/LongCane variations, as well as hot-stamped only chips – nothing wrong with them, just had to draw a line somewhere. I’m never sure if my database is complete – but I’m always on the lookout and updating this list as new chips are being released.
PAULSON FANTASY CHIPS
I remember starting this whole Paulson obsession thing when I first purchased my Paulson Gambler’s Pleasure fantasy poker chips from Casinocom.com some 15+ years ago. And like so many others here, I’m guessing, I regret not buying more of these as well as other Paulson chips.
I’ve had little luck in tracking down more Gambler’s Pleasure chips to build a bigger Tournament set so I’ve decided to acquire other Paulson Fantasy chips that match (or very closely match) my Gambler’s Pleasure chips in chip color and edgespots to make a mixed Tournament set. I’ve already chipped away at this WantList with thanks to some members here recently - ReallyGoodUsername, heisman, dickzapper, Jorgy, kaimat, and Alejandro Saca. Once I get enough posts, I’ll jump on the Poker Chip Forum Classified section to complete this collection.
MISCELLANEOUS:
I’ve got other items I’d like to go over, but I’ll spare you here and post them individually. This includes Custom Cut Cards, poker plaques, Tournament Blind Structures, Cash Game structures, Chip tubes, etc.
Thanks for the forum!
Gavin
