I have been starting a collection of these "Welcome Las Vegas" chips for about 2 years now. If a set or rack comes up on eBay, and the price is right or negotiable, I've been picking them up. I am still on the prowl as the numbers of specific denominations aren't what I want them to be. I'd like to get enough for a 2-3 tables cash and tournament bank. With the possibility of a low stakes limit set......so like 6,000+?ish ($)1's. Right now I'm sitting on 1,100 of the whites. One reason i like these chips aside their durability, is the denomination or numbers. Without the dollar or cent symbols being there they become very versatile. I could play all those ones, as one penny. Micro stakes chips that shouldn't have any issue with value per chip. Raise it up a notch and have the twenty five's play as quarters in a 25¢/50¢ no limit game with ($)5's and ($)10's being the big chips. Their weight is a little light and they are perfectly 39mm round, however much thicker than a Paulson or Chipco, so it kinda depends on what racks you have to fit a barrel. The label is actually well stuck and each chip is aligned with the spots. Thought y'all might enjoy some plastics for PrOn , even for just moment as Paulson's reign supreme (IMPO) . Oh, and for the NextGens, those tanks for chips. I know I'm going to have @Gear make some labels for them, I just don't know what exactly. I'm thinking small table cash set (possibly a travel cash set) with the Las Vegas mold perhaps a retired casino like the Stardust for the inlay. I'd entertain any ideas from anyone here please, let me know your thoughts. and now ............PrOn.......

For a second I was wondering why you were storing all of your chips in the refrigerator. :p

I have a pretty large set of the standard-size recess version Las Vegas Pro 9g chips, which are slightly heavier at 9 grams and not as slick (more surface area, smaller label). The material is sort of the precursor to china clay - much better handling chip than most plastics.

I have a set of these I gave to my father-in-law, he loves them. They use the 5, 10, and 25 as nickel, dime, and quarters. I can't say anything bad about them outside of a few labels falling off. I like to find the good in all chips, I would say that most chips have some redeeming quality to them if you look at them from the right point of view. Plus I do like the label design, old school "Welcome to Las Vargas" is cool.

Nice hoard of chips! You've definitely been flexing the collector muscle. Now you need some cases or racks!

They are bad and you are a bad person for enjoying them...

Nah just kidding...if you like me you like em...some people like drinking Busch...more power to them...they are saving monies.

Hey I have 100 of the white ones in the version @BGinGA posted. If anyone is interested you can have them for shipping + a song. I finally got a pic.

I wish more chips we're made in this method, great deal for the price for stock chips.

But I hate white dollars and have no use for these.

If you, or anyone reading this wants them, let me know.

Send 'em on over if you don't get any takers. I have a comfy spot where they can live rejoined with their brothers and sisters. :)

Nobody wanted them when we moved to Florida, so I know where over four thousand of these are buried in front of our old townhouse in Alexandria, VA. They might be entangled in shrubbery roots by now, but hey -- free is free.

They work well in the bottom of normal flower pots as well.

A white chip box inside a SFRB probably easiest and safest. The chips are pretty sturdy; takes quite a lot to break one. So long as you don't hear any rattling or movement coming from inside, it should be fine. Thanks!

Can also put 25 in a rolled-up taped baggie, tape the four baggies together into a single block, and insert into the SFRB. Encasing the block in bubble wrap optional with these chips, although I'd recommend it for clays or ceramics (actually, pretty much any other chips except hard plastics).
