My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (30 Viewers)

Insane 6 card PLO tonight. We played 7 handed and legit only ONE player was winning

The birthday boy couldn't miss. 6 of us stuck and him with heaps, never witnessed such a lopsided game in my life

I suspect he's half Cubano at this point!

Guy in the middle of the table at the other end has all the chips

Regarding the "theft" of the $1k cash chip, it's probably got RFID, right? Couldn't the casino cancel the chip so that it can't be redeemed? Let the asshole try to sue, and see how far that gets him.

They can't touch the 1k chip except to cash it, and I believe legally they must cash it if it's presented, as it's not stolen

the offender has a gambling debt owed to the other player that a court would need to rule on

But if he left the premises with it, it could be considered "theft", and cancelable?

I'm not an attorney but my understanding is the 1k chip isn't considered stolen

The casino would likely cash it. The casino would not want to refuse to cash it, or worse, hold it in an attempt to insert itself in the middle of a gambling dispute between two 3rd parties. They would likely be opening themselves up to legal liability to the scumbag

Key words: gambling dispute.

Got in another roller skating session tonight, been keeping with it every week on Wednesdays and other days when I'm able to.

Young kid came up to me and said "you're really good, I always see you here!" and then an older woman came up to me later and said "anyone ever tell you that you remind them of Kevin James?"

Back at the Tampa Hard Rock tomorrow for some more PLO action!

16 on the PLO list and they're finally calling it (like every other business they never have enough staff)

I'm 10th so if a couple don't show I'll get my seat

Key words: gambling dispute.
And one of the critical factors that I don't think has been mentioned: under Florida law, gambling debts are unenforceable. I believe this is true in several other states also.

So if the winner who got shorted $1K tried to take this to court as a debt owed, it would get thrown out.

Funny story, just got pulled from table to speak with an officer about that incident

He's been in contact with the scumbag that walked off with the 1k chip, but the guy is claiming he didn't take anything

The officer is investigating it as a theft but isn't sure he'll be able to get the AG to pursue it in court

Limp the CO with :ac::ts::8s::3c:

Button juices to 15. We go 4 ways to a flop

:ks::qh::jd:

Two checks to me, I pot for 65. Original raiser hems and haws, pots it all-in for 255. SB repots, we all get it in

SB :as::js::th::5d:
Button :kh::jc::jh::tc:

Turn :7d:
River :7c:

And the shortie triples up, no money lost in side pot

Bottom set repots after a pot bet on a connected broadway board. Okkkkkkaaaaaaay.

Yes the actual equity for the actual cards looked ok 3 ways. But he was lucky as heck that he was up against two A 10 hands - most of that time with that action he's drawing to a grand total of 1 out (which in this case would have already been dead).

He had straight draw and a blocker to top set. It's not terrible given his smaller stack. The other nut straight was behind him, so he was responding to just my bet

If he was deeper he'd probably be calling to see a turn (but then folding when SB checkraises and I rip the flop)

That board should just hit so many hands better than he hit the flop. Would think this would be -EV in the long run against your range and not closing the action.

See a limped pot holding :9s::9h::7c::6d:

Flop :jd::4s::9d:

We pot in HJ for 25, CO calls, SB calls

Turn :6h:

Checked to us, we bet 75, CO calls, SB checkraises to 400

We think for a bit but ultimately fold.

CO folds what he claims was a set of 4's. SB claims he had top 2 pair, doh!

Board pairs, then he goes for c/r? I say total BS.

The board didn't pair? I had 2nd set and figured at best I was facing a strong combo draw, and might be facing top set and drawing to 1 out

If I had JJxx there I might wait for a safe turn card before making big bets
