My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (35 Viewers)

In the SB. Button limps, hero looks at :ks::9h: and shoves, old guy in BB snaps, button folds.

BB turns over :ad::5s:?

Button sees my hand and exclaims THAT'S WHAT I HAD!

Flop :qs::jc::6s:

well, we're not dead

Turn :3h:
River :5c:

And we are out 10th, top 6 paid, whomp whomp
One of the first tournaments I ever played in vegas was a $60 donkament at the Monte Carlo. Probably at midnight. Similar I had a weak king against a weak ace. Both of us flopped pair and got all in on flop. Two other players at the table told me they folded a king, leading me to conclude I was drawing dead. I started to get up and quickly sat down when a miracle king appeared on the river. It turned into a huge troll for the guy with a pair of aces that thought it was locked up. Especially because the other players really believed they folded a king.

TLDR: never fully believe what people say they folded.

Time to redeem ourselves

Had to settle for a small loss of $400 yesterday

Today will be a bit before I get my PLO seat, max late-regged same tourney as yesterday

45 entrants, 26 left when I entered. Top 5 pay

CO is $10 straddle, we call button with :ah::ad::8c::7d:

SB a tricky pro raises to 45, few callers, we repot on a 1k stack to $230

He calls, two others call. Over $900 in the pot

Flop :qs::4s::4d:

Pro donks $200

Asian male aged 21-60 on my right thinks for awhile and calls

We rip it in for $665
Why are we ripping it in here? Either could be playing a two-card hand and have a 4 hanger? I'd rather wait until we smash the flop before ripping it all in with just an overpair against two players on a paired board. Is it me?

$1300+ in the pot. Paired flops are usually good for aces and we only have about half pot

We're either ripping it or folding given SPR

In the tourney we just call a preflop raise with Aces and a third player comes along and doubles me up on a T-high flop

Down to 18 players and we are up over 70k

Back in the mean streets of PLO. May play the step satellite tonight for $130, to win a $570 seat to try and win a $3500 seat

That starts in another hour and a half, will see how PLO goes

Dealt :kh::kd::9s::3s: in the CO

There's an EP minraise to 10, bunch of callers, we call

Button makes it 20, original raiser makes it 30, shorty shoves for 120, we fold

3 way all-in and flop comes K74TT and we miss out on a nice pot

Game is wild but good

Still the right laydown. Did anyone show a winner?

Blinds 400/800/800 in satellite. We are 5 handed and I shove CO for 7500 with :js::th:

BB snaps with :ks::kc:

Flop :jc::ts::9d:

Thank You Poker Jeezus!

Turn :qh:

SUCK DEALER!

River :3d:

I managed to get home in time to go rollerskating tonight. Cashier made my night when she asked if I was over 18.

I'm used to people thinking I'm a decade younger, but this was a new one
