So I recently bought my first set of casino used Paulsons. And although the seller already UV cleaned them, they are pretty dirty, especially the white $1s.

So I started now by cleaning them with warm water and dishwashing liquid and a toothbrush by hand. Most of the dirt can be removed easly, but some still remains. Just trying out an ultrasonic toothbrush next, maybe that works better. Also not sure about whether I should soak them. I've read that long soaking might dry them out. This is the dishwashing liquid I use.

Now I thought about oiling them just to make the colors pop even more. Specifically the red $5s are a little bit dull. I also saw this famous post here

But my main question is now what is the right mineral oil to use, since the term "mineral oil" is not common in Germany. I think the right term is "paraffinum perliquidum" and I've read that some buy it in the pharmacy. I was now looking on amazon and wanted to buy this one here. Is this the right one? I've read about paraffinum liquidum to make the chips slippery, so perliquidum should be correct.

Any german chippers here with more experience?

You swipe away the oil from the chips.
It‘s not to make them slippery!
The colors show their beauty afterwards.

Paraffinum liquidum is perfect!

If hot water with Dawn soap and an electric toothbrush doesn't get the job done, I go to a Magic Eraser....if it is a PAULSON. Of note, Magic Eraser's can damage other chips.

I have used baby oil for decades. It's easy to find virtually everywhere. It is Mineral Oil. The only difference is that it is slightly scented.

Mineral oil is overrated, in my opinion. Totally not necessary, ESPECIALLY with casino-used RHC Paulsons.
I like the feel of chalky clay chips, so worn RHCs feel more like plastic when they have been oiled.
Also, to get the white chips their brightest, a soak for 10-15 minutes in a solution of oxy-clean (oxygen-based, chlorine-free cleaner) and water does wonders. It makes them even chalkier!
Add oil if you must, but leaving them bare is my preference.

I agree, I have never oiled Paulsons, only ASM/CPC's. That is a great point with RHC's as well, the chalkier the better!
