Sitting Out
Hi PCF,
I'm fairly new as a chip collector. After sourcing samples from multiple people, I fell for the B&G chips. I have now managed to collect a decent amount of them.
Unfortunately a couple were in quite rough shape. So I thought "Why not give it a shot and try to clean them". And so I did.
This is what I did:
This is a picture of what the chips looked like before, the majority had some type of glue-like residue, which made them impossible to play with. It was also quite hard to read what exactly said on them.
The first step was to rub off the glue residue with isopropyl alcohol. Worked like a charm.
Then, I dried them off completely, so that they were dry before the next step.
Which was to oil them with a tiny tiny amount of mineral oil using a microfibre cloth.
Then I left them to dry on a paper towel. And this is where the cleaning journey ends.
Thanks for reading in. I'm amazed by the results. This is my first time doing anything similar, so if I've done something horribly wrong. Don't hesitate to give me some tips and tricks, on what I can do better next time.
Also, sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes. As well as the formatting.
Best regards,
Ahven
