He truly wants poker rooms and card rooms to be better. He's giving the book free to anybody in management. Sounds like @Anthony Martino needs to encourage some of his room managers to take Mason up on the offer.
Or the manager who implemented double rake if we want to run it twice in PLO?
They don't give two fucks here in FL. The Seminoles have the politicians in their pockets and a monopoly.
Until there is real competition, they won't listen to us, they know we'll play anyway
Sad. Just imagine the business they could do if they gave a shit about best serving the players. The same manager who argued with me that they have 25 years in the industry and the cubans couldn't possibly be cheating?

Or the manager who unfriended and blocked me on Facebook because I didn't like that they went from a 300bb starting stack to a 100bb stack in tourneys?

He is saying some of the same things that many of us have known for years like, for example, that nl is bad long term for a card room.Anybody picked this up yet? Thoughts?

LOL, sorry, didn't mean to be so vague. I just read the article and was curious if a) anybody had picked up the book, and b) what their thoughts were if they had.thoughts on WHAT? Is that some poker version of a rick-roll?
Yep, as I understand it they're finishing a deal now to extend that monopoly another 30 years. They don't give two fucks here in FL. The Seminoles have the politicians in their pockets and a monopoly.

Double rake for running it twice = always running it once. Bad for the game, but that rake is even worse.
I played in a home raked game that the host kept finding ways to increase the rake. Started out as a flat $2 if there is a flop. Then it want to $3 if the pot hit $30 and $2 more if someone went all-in and was called. And if they wanted to run it twice there was another $2.
By the time the rake got to this point most of the regulars had moved on and the game barely happened anymore.

I haven't read that specific book/document, but I'd put money on the fact that just about everything he says is well thought out and has merit.
The guy knows a thing or two about poker & poker rooms etc.
Read it and trying to implement at a room down in México.LOL, sorry, didn't mean to be so vague. I just read the article and was curious if a) anybody had picked up the book, and b) what their thoughts were if they had.
Fuck that guy. $2 more if somebody went all in and was called? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Then it want to $3 if the pot hit $30 and $2 more if someone went all-in and was called.
