Man tries to cash in Playboy chips after 40 years.... (2 Viewers)

The article didn't say, but I assume he was allowed to keep the chips. If they're CIC he might make several thousand selling them depending on the denominations. Having $59,500 in only 389 chips doesn't sound like a lot of $1's & $5's

My guess is around 50 x $500 and around 340 x $100 basing on that number with no $1/$5 at all.

He is looking for a cash grab so he likely only going to cash in the biggest denominations, and sell the small denom online above the face value for maximum profit

A representative of the company told New Jersey State Police that a former employee — whose name was redacted from the police report — “had pilfered several boxes of unused chips ‘sometime around 1990′ and put them in a bank deposit box," according to the ruling.

Tens of thousands of chips from the same Atlantic City casino were unearthed in Mississippi in 2008, at the site of the same company that was hired to destroy all the unissued chips.

For how strict these casinos claim to be about following gaming regulations when it comes to chip destruction, it seems in practice most of them are completely full of shit. Everything ends up "walking out the back door," or "falling off the truck."

I think this stuff is usually contracted out to a third party, and instructed to “dispose” of the chips. With regards to the Playboy dig chips, sending them thousands of miles away, burying, then paving sidewalks over them was what they figured was disposal.
In many cases, it probably would work….until it didn’t. :ROFLMAO:

Didn’t know they had a house mold. I would take some of these.
