You know, whether it's due to megalomania, rampant ambition, or patriotism, they're both willing to sacrifice -- and it is a HUGE sacrifice -- their and their families' personal freedom for four to eight years of their lives for the sake of the country.

Whether you like either one or not, they deserve some respect from people who have mostly never served their country in any way, be it through political, military, or governmental service.
