Length of dealer cutout area (1 Viewer)

I did a few searches with no luck. Does anyone know what length the dealer cutout area should be?

Not sure if this is a joke or a serious question, or a bit of both, but our current dealer is about 5’6” 140lbs, but I’d like to make the table so it will be good for most people to comfortably deal on. I have had one of my buddies deal for a night, when my wife couldn’t make it, and he is 6’3” 250lbs.

I'd say 30" to 36" should suffice, but don't have a cut-out table handy to measure (and it's been a long while since I've built one).

24" min (that's really tight), I prefer to make them 30".

My current table is 44”x96”, and the one I am going to start building will be 46”x108”

I would go with at least 30". Lots of space for the dealer who needs it the most. With a table of that size, all of the players will still have lots of space.
