Just had a customer who is extremely dissatisfied with his bounty chip order because our ceramic chips are "extremely cheap" compared to his 11.5 gram China plastic chips. He sent the attached photo and says our chips are "wafer thin" compared to his, and sent this photo:

To each his own...so anxious for the chips to get back here so I know they aren't ruining his game!

Morons gonna moron

Abc has awesome chips. I have a custom set and I love them.

I need to get with gene to see if he can do add ons . I think his blanks changed but not sure if there is a notable difference.

I remember your chips...seems like it was many, many years ago! A lot has changed over the years, but I don't think there would be any issue with mixing in new chips with your original chips.

Speaking of "wafer thin"...someone brought me this chip yesterday (the one in the center). Our smooth ceramic chips are .133" thick, compared to this chip that is .115" thick. What are your guesses to who made this chip? o_O

The chip in the middle looks casino worn which would definitely make a difference in thickness.

That appears to my eyes to be a Paulson. I'm much more interested about the face of the ceramics you're holding, though. I like the design/flourish on the edge...would be interested to see what it's paired with on the front...

Texture and edge profile can really throw people. Anyone trying to show you a chip is thin by sending you a picture of one chip next to another one doesn't have a clue of their thickness.

To tell, you need to use calipers/micrometer, or you need to compare two stacks of chips for difference. One or the other.

Otherwise, unless the chips are of identical-feeling material and with identical color/edge profile, you simply cannot tell by feel or vision.

Ding ding ding...casino worn Paulson is correct. It's from a local card room...the owner told me the chip was probably over 30 years old. Looks like we'll be making them ceramic chips to replace these. Not sure what they plan on doing with the old chips...I might see if I can get my hands on them!

The other chips are Wicked Spades poker chips.
