I'm surprised this hasnt been mentioned already? GPIC/Paulson got bought out by a Japanese company (1 Viewer)

Even when Paulson was in the retail market this was not possible. The colors/edge spots were limited to a few combinations and you got crappy looking molds like the Paulson Mold.
The suits mold wouldn't bother me at all.

Then Santa wrote me back and said the elves in Mexico are not that fast so maybe Xmas 2019.

In for an arsenal of Asian Paulsons in 2019. BRING IT!

I wonder if "molds" are enough for the casinos' security concerns. You could easily slip a different mold (with the same edge wear) into a stack of RHC and it go by completely unnoticed. Perhaps for years.

Perhaps a different brand, with limited edgespots and limited colors just for home use... :coffee:

I bet most cages look at each individual high denom chip though? Sure maybe some defrauds them of a few 25-100 dollar chips (on the first or second pass) but I’d bet anything over 500$ they’d check...

Any high rollers out there have experience cashing in the big bucks?

Maybe I can scale this analogy. I have played in a fair amount of low roller joints. In these places, if you walk to the cage with a $500 chip, they call the pit to confirm it left. I can only imagine this is the process for similar action above the norm at swanky places.

A rack of $100s with maybe 1:20 fakes with identical colors would add up, and I doubt that amy non-chipper would notice. Hell, dealers didn't notice poorly spray-painted chips in repeated incidents.

I hate to be the rain on the parade, and I can only hope I'm wrong. But I've learned a long time ago to make my dreams come true when they can, and forget the dreams that can't.

Like Shaggy, I've had the cage call the pit, but they are only getting approximate amounts. Still be a cakewalk to slide in $500 in counterfeits, or wash them through the craps table.
